3-6 years old children experience an important period when they grow rapidly both in physics and mental.Children are lively,active and full of curiosity.However,due to their limits of cognitive level and deficiencies of life experience,they are easily to suffer an accident and get hurt.In recent years,a growing number of children's safety problems have emerged.Children have become victims of natural disaster like earthquake,terrifying massacre,sexual assault and infectious disease outbreaks.These accidents cause children harms and wounds,even takes their lives away,which at the same is a big blow for their families.As the place where children study and live,kindergartens are supposed to provide children efficient safety education which aims to help them build up safety awareness,master self-help skills and possess self-protection abilities.So far,there are few researches on kindergarten's safety education,especially the empirical study.Therefore,it is of great importance to look into the current situation of kindergarten's safety education,reveal existent problems and provide corresponding countermeasures,so as to enhance teaching effects.This research selects eight kindergartens in Nantong city as study objects and uses methods of questionnaire,interview and observation.From six perspectives of educational goal,educational content,educational time,educational mode and method,education implementer and educational appraisal,this research reveals the current problems of kindergarten safety education,analyzes the causes and provided countermeasures.This research is divided into six parts.The first part elaborates the reason and the significance for study in both practical perspective and theoretical perspective,then cards and summarizes domestic and international research status of kindergarten safety education.The second part defines related concepts and introduces theoretical foundation“Life Education".The third part is research design,representing research goals,research targets and research methods.The fourth part states research results and revealed the current situation.The fifth part is attribution analysis.The sixth part supplies corresponding countermeasures.The results indicate that the following problems exist in kindergarten safety education:educational goal is irrational,not suitable for children's developmental level;educational content is not comprehensive,showing obvious tendentiousness;educational time is insufficient;educational method is arid,lacking different resources;educational effect is unsatisfactory;teachers are not able to stop children's risky behaviors promptly.According to the results,following suggestions are provided:setting rational goals on the basis of children's age;creating friendly educational environment;enriching contents and arranging more lessons for safety education;using social resources to implement different forms of activities;improving evaluation mechanism and supervisory mechanism;enforcing humanized management models to improve teachers' well-being.
