In the new era,ideological and political education is the fundamental requirement for cultivating high-quality personnel.How to integrate ideological and political education into the middle school curriculum,to achieve value guidance in the transmission of knowledge,and to teach the students in a hidden way,is a new issue facing Chinese education today.The ultimate purpose of geography teaching is to educate people,and the geography subject,with its unique value of educating people,should take up the "responsibility" of ideological and political education of the curriculum.Middle school is the period when students’ emotions,attitudes,and values develop the fastest and the most flexible,and ideological and political education of the curriculum is the best carrier to implement moral education.Based on this,in the background of geography core literacy,this study focuses on the basic concept of ideological and political education of the curriculum,organizing ideological and political education contents in high school geography,investigates the teaching status of ideological and political education of the geography curriculum,in response to the current problems faced,and finally proposes the teaching strategies and guarantee strategies for the implementation of high school ideological and political education of the geography curriculum,to provide a reference for the smooth implementation of ideological and political education of the geography curriculum.The main findings of this study are as follows:Firstly,around the concept of ideological and political education of the curriculum,the framework of ideological and political elements of the geography curriculum is constructed.And the content of the framework is determined as follows: with the starting point of moral education and socialist core values as the guide,it contains ten ideological and political elements of the geography curriculum such as patriotism and scientific spirit.And based on this,the teaching contents of ideological and political education resources are organized,and it is found that the General High School Geography Curriculum Standards and geography textbooks contain rich content of ideological and political education of the curriculum.Secondly,questionnaires and interviews were used to clarify the current situation of the implementation of ideological and political education of the geography curriculum.The results showed that the following problems exist in the implementation of ideological and political education of the geography curriculum: geography teachers’ understanding and research of the concept of "the ideological and political education of the curriculum" need to be improved;geography teachers’ own ability to implement ideological and political education of the curriculum,such as the ability to extract information of ideological and political education needs to be improved;the evaluation system of ideological and political education of the geography curriculum is missing,and the guarantee system of implementing ideological and political education of the geography curriculum needs to be improved.Thirdly,combined with the current situation of the implementation of high school ideological and political education of the geography curriculum,the implementation strategies are proposed.From the perspective of teaching materials and teaching methods,the teaching strategies are as follows: based on the content of geography teaching materials,explore the resources of ideological and political education;contact with the hot topics of current affairs,supplement the teaching resources;combine with the characteristics of geography subjects,choose the appropriate teaching methods.From the perspectives of teachers’ teaching ability and teaching evaluation,the guarantee strategies are proposed as follows: perfecting the long-term mechanism of ideological and political education of the geography curriculum;constructing the evaluation system of ideological and political education of the geography curriculum;improving the ideological and political teaching ability of geography teachers.Finally,the section of "disaster prevention and mitigation" in the compulsory course one of textbook of the Humanities Education Edition is selected as a case study,and a complete teaching design of the curriculum is presented by creating the ideological and political teaching objectives and analyzing the content of the curriculum.
