| In mathematics classroom,teachers’ questioning is one of the main ways for teachers to organize teaching and an important strategy to promote students’mathematical participation,expression and communication.As an important link in the process of teachers’ questioning,waiting behavior has not been paid enough attention in practical teaching,and the relevant research only stays in the theoretical stage.Based on the important link of waiting in classroom questioning,this study pays attention to the waiting time in Teachers’ questioning,explores the current situation of waiting time in mathematics classroom questioning,and analyzes the relationship between teachers’ questioning waiting time and students’ answers.Based on the 16 class records of two mathematics teachers’ complete teaching units,and based on the teachers’ waiting behavior and students’ answers in the teacher-student Q&A,this study explores the overall relationship between teachers’ waiting time and students’ answers in different questioning situations of a teaching unit,and analyzes how the relationship between teachers’ waiting time and students’ answers will change within the unit teaching.This study found that:(1)The relationship between teachers’ waiting time and students’ response is different in different situations.Under simple questions and answers,the relationship between waiting time and students’ answers is not close;Under a single question and answer sequence,the relationship between waiting time I and students’ answers is close;Under multiple question and answer sequences,the relationship between waiting time and students’ answers is very close.(2)The relationship between teachers’ waiting time and students’ answers will change in unit teaching.The two uncorrelated quantities in the whole teaching unit may be related in a single class,and the correlation in the whole unit teaching may not exist in a single class.Based on the above findings,the Enlightenment of this study is as follows:(1)In mathematics teaching,pay attention to the relationship between waiting time and students’ answers;(2)In the research of classroom questioning and classroom interaction,we should pay attention to the influence of waiting time;(3)In the study of waiting time,we should distinguish different questioning situations;(4)In the study of waiting time,we should pay attention to the changes in unit teaching. |
