| Edwin Gordon believes that:"everyone is born with musical potential,and the key period for cultivating musical ability is 0-9 years old." Music education in primary school is not only an important part of school basic education,but also the most important period for students to form all aspects of quality.With the deepening of the country’s comprehensive strengthening and reform of school aesthetic education,many musicians and educators are also further studying foreign advanced teaching methods and experience to cultivate students’ music aesthetics and humanistic quality.Edwin Gordon’s music learning theory,as an advanced education system,has a great influence all over the world and has achieved good teaching results in many countries,The principle of Gordon’s music learning theory "providing guidance and direction for appropriate development" can provide new ideas and models for music education in primary schools in China.This paper will elaborate on Edwin Gordon’s life and music learning theory,and take s primary school in T City as an example to explore the application of music learning theory in primary school music classroom.Firstly,it expounds the background,significance,research ideas and current research situation at home and abroad,so as to lay a foundation for the follow-up research.Secondly,based on the music learning theory and taking the students of s primary school in T City as the research object,this paper investigates and analyzes the current situation of primary school music classroom,students’ music literacy,music listening and thinking ability test and so on.Moreover,through a three-month experimental research,design teaching cases to explore the practical application of music learning theory in primary school music classroom.Finally,it summarizes and combs the resistance encountered in teaching practice,puts forward reasonable suggestions,and gives full play to the real value of Gordon’s music learning theory. |
