| Mathematical modeling has occupied a very important position in real life,and its role in the development of science and technology has been paid more and more attention.Mathematical modeling is an important way to use mathematical knowledge and methods to solve practical problems.It can fully reflect students’ ability to analyze problems,mathematical abstraction,logical reasoning,comprehensive use of mathematical knowledge and methods and solve problems.It is one of the Six core competencies that students should have.The ninth grade students have certain mathematical knowledge,certain ability to analyze and solve problems,and certain social life experience,and their thinking is relatively active.It is a good time to cultivate students’ core literacy of mathematical modeling.However,in the process of teaching practice,it is observed that the ninth grade mathematics teaching pays more attention to the training of students’ computing and solving ability,while the students’ comprehensive practical activities and mathematical modeling training are relatively small.There are also few related researches on the current situation and cause analysis of ninth grade students’ mathematical modeling ability.Therefore,this study takes the ninth grade students of a middle school in Tianshui City as the research object,with current status of students’ ability of mathematical modeling,the factors affecting the development of students’ ability of mathematical modeling,and how to cultivate students’ ability of mathematical modeling strategies such as problem as a starting point,to the present condition of the ninth grade students ability of mathematical modeling research.This study mainly uses literature research method,test paper method,questionnaire survey method and interview method.Through the analysis of the related literature about the ability of mathematical modeling,preparation of ninth grade students’ mathematical modeling ability level test,to test the modeling ability of students,combined with the actual situation of students,grade nine students mathematical modeling ability questionnaire design,survey the current grade nine students cognitive status of mathematical modeling,through interviews with students and teachers,learn more about the current state of teaching mathematical modeling for ninth grade students.SPSS software was used to analyze the data obtained from the survey.Based on the analysis of the present situation of the mathematical modeling ability of the ninth grade students,the factors affecting the development of the mathematical modeling ability of the ninth grade students are obtained,and combined with the factors,the feasible strategies of cultivating the mathematical modeling ability of the ninth grade students are put forward.Through the investigation and analysis of the current situation,the following conclusions are drawn: the mathematical modeling ability of the ninth grade students at this stage is at a moderately low level and needs to be further improved,and there was no significant difference in the level of mathematical modeling ability between male and female students.According to the current situation of ninth grade students’ mathematical modeling ability,combined with the factors that affect the development of ninth grade students’ mathematical modeling ability,this study puts forward feasible strategies to cultivate ninth grade students’ mathematical modeling ability from three levels of students,teachers and schools.From the student level,strategies for cultivating students’ mathematical modeling ability are proposed: first,eliminate the fear of modeling difficulties and stimulate learning interest;second,change the way of modeling learning and learn knowledge transfer;third,participate in real tasks of modeling and improve modeling ability;From the teacher level,we put forward strategies for cultivating students’ mathematical modeling ability: first,change the teaching method and grasp classroom teaching;second,create problem scenarios and base on case teaching;third,integrate information technology to enrich modeling teaching;From the school level,strategies for cultivating students’ mathematical modeling ability are put forward: first,implement mathematical modeling teaching,cultivate students’ modeling ability;second,cultivate teachers’ professional ability,scientific mathematical modeling teaching;third,based on mathematical core literacy,improve modeling Evaluation mechanism. |
