In recent years,the 2017 edition of "Chinese Curriculum Standards for General High Schools" has clarified the importance of reading the whole book,and the whole book reading unit of "A Dream of Red Mansions" has been added to the textbooks edited by the Chinese Department of High Schools,which is very important for teachers and students.It’s no small challenge.Reading the whole book of "A Dream of Red Mansions" not only responds to the requirements of the curriculum standards,but also connects with the college entrance examination,and can also improve students’ literary quality and aesthetic taste.Therefore,it is very important that the whole book reading teaching of "A Dream of Red Mansions" can be carried out smoothly in the Chinese classroom.The teaching of reading the whole book of "A Dream of Red Mansions" is a teaching difficulty at Dier Middle School.By consulting the relevant literature,it can be found that the number of studies on the teaching strategies of reading the whole book of "A Dream of Red Mansions" is relatively small.Most of the researchers’ suggestions do not match the weak academic background of the students in our school.Therefore,this paper takes "A Dream of Red Mansions" as the research object of reading teaching of the whole book,and tries to summarize the teaching strategies in line with the school’s learning situation.First of all,this thesis is an overview of the reading teaching strategies of the whole book "A Dream of Red Mansions".First,it defines the concept of the whole book reading and "A Dream of Red Mansions",and takes the requirements of the new curriculum standard,the thematic reading teaching theory and constructivist theory as the theoretical basis.In order to investigate the current situation of reading teaching of the whole book "Dream of Red Mansions" in our school,a questionnaire survey method was adopted,and some students and language teachers of Dill Middle School were selected as samples,and distributed a questionnaire about the reading teaching situation of the whole book "A Dream of Red Mansions".Through the statistical analysis of the questionnaire results,it is found that the students’ problems include lack of reading interest,insufficient reading time,poor reading habits,and teachers’ problems include lack of reading guidance and confusion of teaching ideas.In order to solve these problems,corresponding teaching strategies have been developed.One of the strategies is to improve the quality of teachers and students,teachers should change their teaching concepts,improve professional quality,and regulate students’ reading behavior,improve students’ reading habits,and enable students to read efficiently.The specific reading methods that teachers can guide students to adopt include formulating reading plans,using reading notes,using mind mapping,combining intensive reading and extensive reading,and promoting reading inside and outside the classroom.The second strategy is to stimulate students’ reading interest.To stimulate students’ interest in reading,teachers can stimulate students’ interest in reading original works by setting up multimedia teaching and inspirational teaching,and enhance students’ reading drive,which is the guarantee of students’ effective self-reading.The third strategy is to build the whole book reading community,divide into corresponding reading groups according to the learning situation,and carry out reading activities regularly to strengthen the function of the group.The fourth strategy is to optimize the teaching implementation path.In the early stage of thorough reading,teachers need to ensure students’ reading volume and promote teaching progress in the form of task sheets.In the mid-term intensive reading stage,teachers should organize students to conduct special discussions to further deepen their understanding of the text.In the summary and reflection stage,teachers should carry out a variety of activities to encourage students to show their reading results.
