A lot of farmers left their home to seek work, do business or do otherjobs since the implementation of the reform and opening policy. And lotsof children have to live without the caring of parents. There are more than2000parent-absent children in China. With the Left-home childrenemphasized on the harmful effects element exist in Left-home childrenthemselves. Resilience reflects active adaptation when people experienceadversity. As a result, caring much about the kid’s resilience is of greatsignificance to benefit the mental health of Left-home children. In thisstudy, we dedicate to research on the kid’s resilience from the aspect ofpositive psychology, and research on the relationship between resilienceand attachment and coping style.Randomly adopted students from3country junior middle school andget269available subjects. By using the HKRA,MMHI-60.We examinedthe parent-absent children’s resiliency, social support and personalities.Results are as follows:1、There are no significant age difference in resiliency. And there aresignificant differences in the rest of the demographic variables inresiliency.2、 The situations of Left-behind junior middle schoolstudents,mental health are poorer than those who are not. There aresignificant differences mentally healthy in sex and years parents being outamong them.3、There are significant correlations between mental health andresilience, copping style among the Left-behind junior middle schoolstudents.
