| Since China successfully bid for the 2022 Winter Olympic Games,a series of domestic ice and snow policies have been introduced one after another, highlighting and planning the key position of the ice and snow economy in the "14th Five-Year Plan" period. With the social capital gradually becoming active and the enthusiasm of the masses rising sharply, domestic ice and snow tourism has accelerated into a golden development period. The inland northwest five provinces and autonomous regions have unique natural resource advantages and great potential for industrial development. With the gradual acceleration of the investment and optimization of ice-snow tourism in each province, many problems caused by the iterative transformation of tourism industry are gradually revealed. The present situation of scattered space of ice-snow tourism industry, unbalanced provinces and autonomous regions, and imperfect industries hinder the transformation benefits of the original resource advantages and the comprehensive upgrading of industries.Focusing on ice-snow tourism research is a strategic task and a topic of the times for the western region to explore new tourism industry paths to achieve regional economic and social development.Taking 144 ski resorts in five northwestern provinces in 2019 as the research object, this paper comprehensively applies sustainable tourism theory, regional spatial structure related theory, growth pole theory and synergy theory, combined with research literature, and uses spatial analysis, mathematical statistics and other methods to study the spatial structure and future development of ski resorts in five northwestern provinces. The full text consists of six parts. The first part is an introduction, including research background, purpose and significance, research summary, content and methods, and technical route. The second part is the related concepts and theoretical basis, including three concepts and four theories including the theory of ice and snow tourism and sustainable tourism. The third part is the characteristics of spatial structure, including regional overview, data source, type structure and scale calculation, and it is analyzed from four parts: aggregation, balance, differentiation and evolution. The fourth part analyzes the spatial correlation and influence degree of influencing factors from two dimensions by spatial coupling and mathematical analysis. The fifth part, based on the results of the analysis of spatial coupling factors and mathematical comprehensive factors in the previous part, analyzes the current predicament and future challenges of the development of ice and snow tourism in the five northwestern provinces, and puts forward the corresponding strategies and paths. The main conclusions are as follows:(1)The distribution of quantity and type is unbalanced, with Xinjiang accounting for the largest proportion, followed by Shaanxi,Gansu,Ningxia and Qinghai, with sightseeing experience as the main part, sports learning and leisure vacation as the minor part;(2)The overall pattern is "dual-core,agglomeration" with two high-density areas; It is characterized by the overall trend of "northwest-southeast" and the hierarchical gradual change pattern of "hot-cold-hot",which is clustered rather than randomly distributed; The overall spatial evolution is not significant;(3)In terms of spatial coupling, natural geographical factors and social and humanistic factors are the two core coupling factors; The influence degree of the main factors is as follows: total tourism revenue, total number of tourists, abundance of ice and snow tourism resources, foundation of highway construction and urban development level;(4)It puts forward six industrial comprehensive development paths, including building China’s new development pole, strengthening cooperation between provinces and regions, building a spatial collaborative optimization strategy of "multi-point contiguous" pattern, and taking ice and snow development policy as an important guide and building a regional ice and snow tourism market,so as to provide theoretical reference and practical enlightenment for optimizing the spatial pattern of ice and snow tourism in the five northwest provinces and regions, scientifically upgrading and building China’s new development pole of ice and snow tourism. |
