Research On The Impact Of Population Mobility On The Quality Of Employment

In recent years,with the acceleration of China’s industrial structure upgrading,the contradiction between supply and demand in the labor market caused by low-end industrial upgrading and industrial structure adjustment,unemployment,reemployment of floating population and entrepreneurship back home have aroused heated discussions among scholars.However,the upgrading of industrial structure and the improvement of the quality of economic growth have a positive impact on the employment of the floating population,which provides more sufficient conditions for the occupational mobility and wage rise of the floating population.Based on this,using the dynamic monitoring data of the floating population of the National Health Commission in 2017,the evaluation index system of the employment quality of the floating population is constructed from the four dimensions of labor nature,labor remuneration,labor intensity and labor security.According to the index system,a regression model of industrial structure upgrading on the employment quality of floating population is established.Through multiple linear regression and quantile regression,this paper studies the impact of industrial structure on the employment quality of floating population,and then uses the two variables of urban population density and unemployment rate to analyze the intermediary effect,and discusses its internal impact mechanism.The results show that,first,the improvement of industrial structure can increase the employment quality of floating population.;Second,the industrial structure can affect the employment quality of the floating population by affecting the urban unemployment rate and population density.Third,there are differences in the impact of individual,city and floating characteristics on the employment quality of floating population;Accordingly,the following policy recommendations are put forward: first,the need to further open the registered residence system and protect the legitimate rights and interests of the floating population;Second,reduce the urban unemployment rate and improve the security system for the unemployed.
