Nowadays,the fierce competition among countries in the world is increasingly developing into the competition for talents,and the core literacy has also become the focus of educational reform in various countries.In March 2014,the Ministry of Education issued the opinions on comprehensively deepening curriculum reform and implementing the fundamental task of Building Morality and cultivating people,which put forward the concept of core literacy for the first time and raised the cultivation of students’ core literacy to an unprecedented height.Therefore,how history teachers deal with history teaching under the background of core literacy and gradually grow into an excellent teacher who can promote the formation of students’ literacy has become a problem that every history teacher must think about.As an important group to cultivate students’ core quality of history,the level of history teachers’ teaching ability directly affects the quality of teaching.Therefore,exploring the development of history teachers’ teaching ability from the background of core literacy is very necessary for cultivating students’ core literacy of history and promoting the development of teachers’ own ability.Based on the academic research about the core literacy of history discipline and the development of teachers’ teaching ability,this paper adopts the method of questionnaire survey and interview as the supplement.Through the analysis of teachers’ and students’ questionnaire survey and the interview of teachers,this paper objectively analyzes the current situation of the development of teaching ability of history teachers in five provincial model high schools in Fuyang City,and finally draws the research conclusion.In the process of research,the author found that although most teachers follow the pace of the new curriculum reform,actively study the contents of the new college entrance examination,new curriculum standards and new teaching materials,actively participate in teacher training and constantly improve their professional ability,due to the reasons of teachers themselves,schools and education departments,the development of teachers is restricted to varying degrees,so there are still the following problems in the development of teachers’ teaching ability: First,The transformation of teachers’ teaching ideas is not in place,and their understanding of core literacy is not deep enough.Second,teachers’ combination of teaching objectives with the new college entrance examination,new curriculum standards and new teaching materials is not deep enough.Third,the implementation of teachers’ core literacy is not enough and the ability to guide students to explore needs to be improved.Fourth,teachers’ teaching reflection is formalized and their independent development behavior is less.Fifth,teachers’ teaching evaluation content and evaluation basis are single.Based on the problems existing in the development of teachers’ teaching ability,the author puts forward three suggestions.First,according to the suggestions from the perspective of teachers,teachers should change their teaching ideas and establish a comprehensive and overall view of the core literacy of history discipline;teachers should adhere to the guidance of the new curriculum standard,reasonably integrate the teaching content and pay attention to the formation of students’ literacy;teachers should pay attention to self-improvement,and constantly improve their ability to implement core literacy and guide students to explore,such as paying attention to reading classic works and high-quality historical reading;teachers should strengthen the consciousness of self-development and the ability of self reflection;teachers should pay attention to the development of students and promote their development by establishing diversified evaluation methods.Second,according to the suggestions from the perspective of the school,schools should improve the evaluation mechanism conducive to teacher development and create an environment conducive to teacher development.Third,according to the suggestions from the perspective of the education department,the education department should improve the teacher training,carry out more targeted teacher training and follow-up guidance,and build a teacher learning community at the same time.The improvement of history teachers’ teaching ability is a continuous dynamic process,which needs the joint efforts of all parties to promote the development of teachers.
