| With the acceleration of urbanization and the development of China’s economy,the lifestyle and habits of residents have changed greatly.Diabetes,as a disease related to lifestyle and attitude towards life,has an increasing incidence with the change of residents’ lifestyle.Because of its high incidence,low awareness rate and high proportion of complications,it has become the third major chronic non-communicable disease that seriously threatens human health after tumors and cardiovascular diseases.Most patients are prone to physical and mental problems such as decreased physical function,increased psychological pressure and insufficient self-efficacy during the long-term illness.Diabetic patients still can’t be completely cured by the existing medical methods,but many studies have shown that strengthening the intervention of diabetic patients and improving their self-management ability can effectively control the blood sugar level of patients,reduce the incidence of complications and slow down the progress of the disease.Affected by many factors,the self-management level of diabetic patients in various regions of China is still at a medium-low level,and the self-management ability needs to be further strengthened.The emergence of spiritual social work has perfected the deficiency that social work in the past only laid stress on the physiological,psychological and social factors of individuals while ignoring their needs at the spiritual meaning.Individual growth is considered to include the integration and consistency of internal psychology and the harmony and balance of external environment,that is,the change of individuals is not only to repair and improve their own shortcomings and regain their self-confidence,but to tap the internal potential and surpass themselves through their own reflection and perception,so as to achieve a higher level of development goals,Taoism peaceful mind therapy of Jinyun,as a localized service mode of spiritual social workers,the spiritual connotation of traditional Chinese Taoism is integrated into the practice of social work,the mental model is used as the point of penetration.By these means,service objects can realize the relationship between the occurrence of diabetes and negative emotions and reasonless mental model.Simultaneously,this kind of intervention can help the service objects to enhance the four abilities of relaxation,concentration,awareness and acceptance through specific theoretical knowledge explanation and practice methods.Finally,diabetics can acquire meta-conscious mental model,thereby relieving the disease and improving their ability to live healthy in the current life.In this study,data collection methods such as questionnaire survey and interview were used to understand the status quo of self-management of patients with type 2 diabetes in J community of Chongqing.In the process of investigation,it was found that most patients with diabetes have low self-management ability,which is manifested as insufficient knowledge of diabetes,serious negative emotions after illness,decreased ability of action,insufficient ability of behavior management,etc.Therefore,the needs are to enhance the cognition of diabetes,improve the ability of emotion and behavior management.Based on the above problems and needs,this research is guided by the theory of mind-body interaction and self-efficacy.Taoism peaceful mind therapy of Jinyun is used as the main intervention method.The physical and mental conditions of the group members have not only been comprehensively improved,but also their awareness of diabetes has been enhanced.Through8 group activities,they improved their emotional and behavioral management skills,as well as their diabetes self-management skills. |
