Research On Water Culture Education In Universities Characterized By Water Conservancy

The General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out: The foundation of higher education lies in the establishment of moral education.We should make moral education as the central link,the ideological and political work through the whole process of education and teaching,and pay more attention to educating people and nurturing them with culture.It can be seen that cultural education,as a method and means of ideological and political education,is indispensable in the cultivation of talents in universities.This discourse,clearly pointed out that cultural education is an important method and means of ideological and political education,but also to promote the reform and development of higher education in the new era of the inevitable choice.Water culture is one of the core contents of culture,which contains values and moral norms and other important educational value,is an important carrier of cultural education.October 26,2021,the Ministry of Water Resources issued "Guidance from the Ministry of Water Resources on Accelerating the Construction of Water Culture" which states that we must fully consider the special characteristics of water culture,protect the excellent Chinese culture of water management,activate the vitality of water culture,and refine,display and pass on the cultural essence of water culture with contemporary value and world significance.As an important part of higher education institutions,universities characterized by water conservancy should combine their own characteristics,give full play to the leading role of water culture in the education of people,promote the healthy growth and comprehensive development of college students,and provide talent guarantee for the great prosperity and development of socialist culture.Reviewing and reflecting on the effectiveness and problems of the current water culture education work in universities characterized by water conservancy is a necessary part of the study of water culture education in institutions with water resources characteristics.In this paper,through an in-depth summary of the basic situation of water culture education in universities characterized by water conservancy and a survey of the current situation of water culture education work,we found that water culture education work has achieved a series of results,mainly in: carry out a rich variety of water culture education projects,form a talent training model led by water culture,present a three-dimensional water culture education pattern,and have a positive impact on students’ cultural confidence and values.However,due to various factors,there are still some problems those are ignored,mainly in: the formalization of water culture education,the disconnect between water culture theory and education practice,the emphasis on the transmission of knowledge rather than the interpretation of spiritual connotations and the lack of publicity for advanced water resources models..In response to the above problems,this paper takes the four aspects of Marxist theory of cultural education,Xi Jinping’s important remarks on cultural education,traditional Chinese water culture and the theory of ideological and political education as theoretical guidance,and we propose countermeasures to strengthen water culture education in institutions with water conservancy characteristics,and discuss in detail four aspects: strengthen the concept of nurturing people with water culture by making moral education fundamental;closely follow the general situation of the development of the times,enrich the content of water culture education;with the course of thinking and politics as the leader,innovative water culture education methods;with water culture education as the core,condense the characteristic university spirit four aspects to discuss in detail.
