Water, one of the main components of life, is an important resource on which mankind rely for existence indispensably. For thousands of years, leaving splendid water marks, human beings created abundant water culture in the activities with water. But recently human beings have clashed with water in the activities. The appearance and solution of the problems such as "the shortage of water resource" and "the conflict between water and mankind" needs not only technology and administrative means but also the guidance of cultural force and people’s participation. Education, as the important fronts for culture dissemination and knowledge transmission, is supposed to play a crucial role in disseminating the water knowledge and developing the water culture. Based on the close relation between the characteristics of history and water culture, history should bear the weight of developing the water culture education. In particular, the requirements under the new curriculum teaching high school, and more advocacy for history teaching from different angles and aspects, reflecting the history to bring people unprecedented uniqueness and creativity.This is the new way to structure courses according to the author during the internship teaching environments and patterns drawn from schools, water culture into high school history class. With the historical facts, we should enrich the connotation of water culture on the basis of water culture. In order to fulfill the aspiration of the harmonious coexistence between water and mankind, on the foundation of the predecessors’ research on water culture, I have discussed in this paper the application and meaning of water culture in senior high school history teaching so that the students can easily understand the spirit of water culture with the learning of history.The paper mainly includes four major parts:The first part is the introduction which has basically introduced the cause, significance, definition, concept, structure, method and so on of my research. This part is aimed at asking questions.The second part is the central content of the article, in the familiar high school history textbooks, based on the classification of the integration of high school history textbooks water cultural content, analyze the impact of water in ancient China, emphasizing the development of ancient water conservancy in China’s political, economic, among thecultural characteristicsand existencevalue play, carding materials which water andculturalknowledge, to enrich and supplement.The third part is to be on the water content of the second part of the culture of evaluation and analysis of water, education and cultural significance in the high school history teaching, from the character of the pupils build, construction and development of education and campus culture analyzed. Elaborated teaching value of culture and education to carry waterThe fourth part emphasizes the significance of water culture education and transmission. This part introduces the great influence of water culture on knowledge spreading, quality molding, and the spiritual and cultural life constructing.
