The proposal of cultural understanding literacy in the 2017 edition of high school music curriculum standards has established the direction and path of the future development of high school music education.High school music appreciation is not only a compulsory module of high school music curriculum,but also an important way to cultivate students’ cultural understanding literacy.Taking the music appreciation teaching in senior high school as the starting point,this paper studies the path of cultivating students’ cultural understanding literacy,hoping to improve students’ music appreciation ability,improve students’ aesthetic literacy and humanistic literacy,cultivate sentiment,realize the fundamental task of "Building Morality and cultivating people" in music education,and further realize the function of music education in aesthetic education.This study combines theoretical knowledge with practical teaching to explore the path of cultivating students’ cultural understanding literacy in high school music appreciation.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,this paper has four parts.The first part mainly discusses the related concepts of cultural understanding literacy by studying the 2017 edition of high school music curriculum standards,combs the relationship between cultural understanding literacy,aesthetic perception literacy and artistic expression literacy,and analyzes the importance of cultural understanding literacy in high school music appreciation;The second part is to investigate the current situation of cultural understanding literacy of middle school students affiliated to Guizhou Normal University and analyze its reasons;The third part is the practical exploration aimed at cultivating students’ cultural understanding literacy in the appreciation teaching of "yellow water ballad" and "defending the Yellow River".This paper mainly expounds the teaching design ideas and teaching process of "yellow water ballad" and "defending the Yellow River".The teaching practice focuses on the cultivation of cultural understanding literacy,guides students to understand the cultural connotation contained in "yellow water ballad" and "defending the Yellow River",completes the goal of cultivating cultural understanding literacy through a variety of teaching paths,and then carries on teaching reflection;The fourth part takes the practical teaching of "yellow water ballad" and "defending the Yellow River" as an example,and puts forward four teaching paths:creating situations,guiding students to understand the cultural emotion of works,adopting research-based learning,cultivating students’ ability to independently experience cultural charm,enriching appreciation methods,cultivating students’ ability to understand the cultural connotation of music works,and guiding students to understand the cultural heritage of music through heuristic teaching.The last is the conclusion.It is hoped that the research of this paper can bring some reference to the teaching of music appreciation in Senior High School under the background of core literacy.
