Practical Exploration On Interpersonal Communication Of The Elderly In Nursing Institutions By Group Work

With the aging of our country's population and the simplification of family structure,the traditional family pension is gradually transformed into a social pension.However,China's elderly care industry started late,and the pension industry management system and related policies are not complete.Most eldercare institutions can only satisfy the needs of the elderly in daily life and medical security.But there is another issue need to pay attention which is the elder people's mental health need,which is mainly manifested in the aspect of interpersonal relationship.How to rely on the professional advantages of social work to solve this problem has become a popular topic in the field of domestic and foreign elderly care services.This paper is focused on the interpersonal communication problems of the elderly in the pension institution and this bases on the author's internship experience in X pension institution.Through consulting the internal data of pension institutions,this paper uses the observation method and interview method.According to this,it's found that the interpersonal problems of the elderly in the institutions are mainly manifested as the lack of interpersonal motivation,interpersonal cognitive deviation,and interpersonal skills.To solve the above three aspects of problems,in order to comprehensively improve the interpersonal communication skills of the elderly and meet their mental health needs,the author interviewed 20 elderly people in nursing institutions,and finally chose 8 elderly people with interpersonal communication problems to form an adult teaching group of interpersonal promotion.Under the guidance of ecosystem theory and energy enhancement theory,the author formulates teamwork intervention plans.Through the development of the five group activities,give full play to the advantages of the group,and the stable relationship of mutual care,mutual trust,and mutual help has been established among the group members,help the elderly in the group improve the motivation of interpersonal communication and increase the willingness of interpersonal communication.Then author leads the elderly to learn the principles of interpersonal communication and correct the cognitive deviation in interpersonal communication and leads the elderly to learn interpersonal skills and improve their ability in expression and understanding.After the group work,interpersonal skills assessment of pretest and post-test results of the questionnaire by comparing the panelists to evaluate the effect of group work,the data indicate that interpersonal skills within the group of the elderly have been a significant improvement.Finally,it summarizes the theoretical guidance advantages and professional method advantages of group work involved in the interpersonal communication problems of the elderly in elderly care institutions and reflects on the shortcomings of services.According to the actual situation,suggestions for improvement from the microsystem,the mesosystem,and the macrosystem are put forward,which provides a practical reference for future social work to intervene in the interpersonal relationship of the elderly in the elderly care institutions.
