Influenced by the covid-19 pneumonia,the employment situation of Chinese college graduates is grim in recent years,and ensuring graduates’stable employment is one of the most important policies in the country.Career decision-making is an important aspect of College Students’career planning ability,which has an important impact on their career choice.Cultivating college students’career decision-making ability is one of the effective ways to improve college students’employability.College Students’future orientation and self-control have a great impact on their career decision-making and evaluation.This paper studies the influence mechanism of future orientation and self-control on College Students’career decision-making,and how to improve college students’career decision-making ability,in order to enrich the career planning theory and have a certain reference value for improving college students’employability.This paper constructs the influence model of future orientation and self-control factors on career decision-making,selects the classic future orientation scale,self-control scale and career decision-making scale at home and abroad,takes 869 college students from eight different levels of colleges and universities in Nanjing as the survey object,investigates the current situation of College Students’future orientation scale,self-control scale and career decision-making,and analyzes the current situation of different levels of schools It also analyzes the correlation between future orientation,self-control and career decision-making,as well as the impact of future orientation and self-control on College Students’career decision-making,and puts forward some suggestions on how to improve college students’future orientation level,enhance self-control ability,and strengthen career planning education at multiple levels.The results show that:(1)the score of future orientation is higher than the midpoint,the score of future emotion factor and future will factor is the highest,and the score of future cognition factor is the lowest.The level of College Students’future orientation is good,and college students show more positive behavior in the concept of future time,but their cognitive level of the future is poor,so they should focus on the realization of longer-term future goals.The score of s elf-control was higher than the midpoint,the score of impulse control factor was the highest,and the score of resist temptation factor was the lowest.College students have a good level of self-control.In terms of self-control,college students will restrain their impulses to improve their self-control ability,improve their restraint ability in living habits and enhance their concentration.;The score of career decision-making is higher than the midpoint,the score of rational analysis factor of information is the highest,and the score of extensive involvement factor of information and clear setting factor of goal is the lowest.College Students’career decision-making level is good,which shows that college students can rationally and scientifically analyze the existing relevant employment information in career decision-making,and their ability to collect employment related information needs to be improved.(2)There are significant differences in future orientation,self-control and career decision-making at the level of grade and school,but there are no significant differences in gender and place of origin.(3)Correlation analysis shows that there is a significant positive correlation between future orientation,self-control and career decision-making.(4)Stepwise multiple regression found that the factors of future cognition and future will in future orientation and the factors of focusing on work,impulse control and resisting temptation in self-control can significantly predict career decision-making.The model is Y=1.64 X1+0.48 X3+1.21 M1+0.39 M2+1.28 M3+1.64.X1represents future cognition,X3represents future will,M1 represents focus on work,M2represents impulse control and M3represents offset Control temptation.(5)Self-control plays a mediating role in the influence of future orientation on career decision-making.(6)This paper puts forward some suggestions to improve college students’career decision-making ability from three aspects:Improving College Students’future orientation level,enhancing self-control ability and strengthening career planning education at multiple levels.Students form a correct concept of time and improve the level of College Students’future orientation,which is the premise of improving their career decision-making ability;Enhancing self-control ability is the basis of improving career decision-making ability;Strengthening career planning education at multiple levels is the core of improving career decision-making ability.
