With the rapid development and explosive mission growth of China’s aerospace industry in recent years,the demand for innovative aerospace engineering and technology talents has become more and more urgent.In this context,how to strengthen the cultivation of innovative aerospace engineering talents is a common problem faced by Beihang University(short for BUAA)of China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology(short for CALT).First of all,this paper will investigate the current situation of BUAA-CALT joint cultivation of aerospace engineering talents through available information,secondary data,questionnaires,and expert interviews,and find that there are still obvious shortcomings in the cultivation of innovative quality of talents,which is still far from the increasing requirements for innovative quality of aerospace engineering talents in the background of the times.There are still gaps in the cultivation of innovative quality of talents,which are still far from the increasingly high requirements of innovative quality of aerospace engineering talents in the background of the times,which are manifested in the following problems:cooperation mode and coordination mechanism,selection and guidance of teachers,cultivation program and curriculum system,lack of education on innovative ideas,lack of quality assurance and evaluation system,and insufficient environment and atmosphere to encourage innovation.Secondly,this paper will point out the causes of the problems from the side of BUAA and the side of CALT respectively by analyzing them with the theory of synergy and the theory of innovative talents cultivation.By drawing on the typical models of joint cultivation of innovative engineering and technology talents in universities and enterprises at home and abroad,we get the following inspirations:focus on practical and experiential education for students,focus on cultivating students’ innovation ability and innovation spirit,and bring into play the synergy and complementarity of the main body’s advantageous resources.Thirdly,based on the existing data,secondary data,questionnaire survey,expert interviews,domestic and international typical joint cultivation models of innovative talent of engineering technology,this paper will construct the BUAA—CALT joint cultivating mode for innovative talent of aerospace engineering technology,which includes innovative cultivation program and curriculum collective,strengthening the innovation guidance of faculty,creating an environment that encourages innovation,inheriting the spirit and culture of aerospace innovation,and jointly building practice and innovation bases and platforms,etc.The model mechanism includes institutional guarantee,financial guarantee,resource guarantee,and binding guarantee,etc.Finally,this paper will propose measures to promote the BUAA—CALT joint cultivating mode for innovative talent of aerospace engineering technology.The measures to promote BUAA include strengthening the construction of practical teachers,improving the in-depth cooperation with aerospace enterprises,and strengthening the atmosphere to encourage innovation,while the measures to promote CALT include strengthening the construction of lecturing teachers,improving the articulation of students’ identity transformation,establishing employer brands at all levels,and seeking long-term benefits for promotion.
