| Land transfer is an important support for realizing the intensive and large-scale development of agriculture and promoting the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy.Driven by relevant national policies, the proportion of land circulation has steadily increased, reaching 42.4% by 2020.However,the current land transfer market in my country still has problems such as insufficient marketization, irregular land transfer form and small scale of land transfer, which affect the optimal allocation of land resources. The influencing factors that promote the effective circulation of land resources are mainly reflected in the macro environment and the resource endowment of farmers themselves.Among them, the social capital and human capital of farmers not only play a very important role in the acquisition, allocation and transaction of land resources, but there is also a mutual influence between the two. Therefore,it is of great significance to promote land circulation and improve land use efficiency by studying the influence and mechanism of social capital and human capital on land circulation.Accordingly, this article takes the survey data of 989 farmers in the three main grain producing areas of Hubei,Hunan and Henan in 2019 as an example.Firstly, according to the entropy method, the social capital and human capital index of farmers are calculated and the status quo of their land transfer decision-making behavior, land transfer rate, social capital, human capital and other basic conditions is analyzed. Then, the Logit and Tobit models are used to test the impact of social capital and human capital on land transfer decision-making behavior,transfer-out decision-making behavior,transfer-in rate and transfer-out rate, and conduct robustness tests. Finally, the influence mechanism of social capital and human capital on land transfer decisionmaking behavior and transfer rate is explored through interaction test and mediating effect test. The following conclusions are drawn from the aforesaid research analysis:(1)At present, the following problems exist in the land circulation, social capital and human capital of farmers: First, the proportion of farmers’ land transfer is low and the scale of transfer is small.Second, farmers have a small social network, low social prestige, and infrequent social interaction.Third, the education level of farmers is generally junior high school, and the number of times of participating in agricultural technical training is also less. Therefore, the land circulation, social capital and human capital of farmers need to be improved.(2)Social capital is significantly positively correlated with land transfer decision-making behavior and transfer-in rate, and significantly negatively correlated with land transfer-out decision-making behavior.Human capital is significantly positively correlated with land transfer-in decision-making behavior and transfer-in rate, and has a significant positive correlation with land transfer-out rate.Significant negative correlation;at the same time, comparing the absolute value of the regression coefficient,it is found that social capital has a greater impact on land transfer.(3)The interaction between social capital and human capital is not significant in the influencing mechanism of land transfer decision-making behavior and land transfer rate. This may be due to the low level of human capital of farmers or the insufficient utilization of social capital, resulting in the inability of the two to transform into each other.(4)The mediating effect of social capital and human capital is significant in the influence mechanism of land transfer decision-making behavior and land transfer rate. Finally, based on the findings of the study, the following recommendations are made:(1)The government actively publicizes and guides, transforms farmers’ concepts, enhances farmers’ awareness of land transfer, and raises farmers’ awareness of accumulating social capital and human capital.(2)Make full use of network tools in the new media era, improve and perfect the land transfer system, and create a good external environment for the formation of public social capital and the promotion of land transfer.(3)To increase the education and training of farmers in a targeted manner,to promote the accumulation of farmers’ own human capital, and to increase the demand for land transfer.(4)The government provides supportive policies, cultivates new-type professional farmers, and develops agricultural operations on an appropriate scale. |
