Analysis On The Current Situation And Countermeasures Of Social Work Intervention In Community Wandering Animals From The Perspective Of Harmonious Society

There is a large number of pet cats and dogs raised by urban households in China.Due to the irresponsible behavior of their owners,the abandonment rate of urban pet cats and dogs is also high.In addition,due to the disorderly breeding of cats and dogs in the wild,the number of stray animals in China’s communities is increasing.As a result,environmental pollution,injury incidents,disease transmission and other issues are becoming increasingly prominent,which has become a social issue that cannot be ignored,Therefore,it is imperative to strengthen the management of stray animals in urban communities.This article is based on the perspective of a harmonious society,taking S community in Jinan as an example,mainly using case study methods from qualitative research,literature research,questionnaire survey,interview research,and other material collection methods to study the current situation and management issues of stray animals in S community.The following conclusion can be drawn:there are a large number of stray animals in S community,and the survival situation of cats and dogs is not optimistic.Moreover,they have adverse effects and potential threats on the community environment and residents’ safety,causing some residents’ dislike and dissatisfaction.In the past,S community lacked management of stray animals in the community,and the efforts to rectify uncivilized dog keeping behavior within the community were also insufficient.As a result,social problems caused by stray animals in the community became increasingly prominent,and the number of people who disliked stray animals in the community increased.Conflicts with caring people intensified,becoming a threat to community harmony and stability.In this regard,S community has based itself on reality and referred to advanced domestic and foreign experience to carry out special governance for the problem of stray animals in the community.Social workers have actively intervened,and measures such as promoting civilized feeding of stray animals in the community,conducting TNR on them,coordinating neighborhood relationships,and promoting the construction of relevant rules and regulations have been taken.After rectification,the uncivilized behavior of raising dogs in S community has significantly decreased,stray animals in the community have been properly placed,the community environment has been improved,safety hazards have been effectively controlled,and the voices of residents’opposition have gradually decreased.More and more people are being driven to pay attention to the rescue work of stray animals in the community,support the actions of social workers and pet volunteers,and create a more harmonious community atmosphere.
