Investigation And Research On The Needs Of Primary School Teachers’ Home Visit

As an effective means of home-school cooperation,teachers’ home visit is an excellent educational tradition in our country.It plays an irreplaceable role in development.However,with the arrival of the information age and the rapid development of modern communication,the traditional teachers’ home visit has been gradually replaced by electronic communication trend,the traditional teachers’ home visit is gradually being diluted,teachers and parents of students home visit needs are less and less attention.In response to this phenomenon,this study took 813 parents of students and 51 teachers in T city as the research objects,and used the research methods of questionnaire survey and interview to understand the needs of primary school teachers and students’ parents for teachers’ home visits and their existing problems.The study found that the needs of primary school teachers’ home visits are that the needs of students’ parents and teachers’ home visit methods are not met;the length of home visits,home visits,and content are inconsistent between students’ parents and teachers;the needs of students’ parents lack initiative;Teachers’ home visit needs are vulnerable to issues such as influence.After analyzing the results of the questionnaire survey and interview,it is found that the reasons for the problem of the demand for primary school teachers’ home visits are that schools do not pay enough attention to teachers’ home visits;teachers are not very enthusiastic about home visits;teachers lack scientific professional guidance in home visits;students’ parents themselves reason.In view of the actual problems existing in the demand for home visits by primary school teachers and the analysis of the causes of the problems,based on the perspective of collaborative education of families,schools and society,the following improvement strategies and suggestions are put forward: attach importance to traditional home visits,and pay attention to the diversification of teachers’ home visit methods;reduce the burden on teachers,to improve the enthusiasm of teachers’ home visits;to provide professional guidance to teachers,to expand the professional talent team;to meet the diverse needs of students’ parents,and to enhance their sense of cooperation.Through these countermeasures and suggestions,we hope to solve the problems existing in the demand of primary school teachers’ home visit and help the teachers’ home visit work in primary schools.
