| The Mathematics Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)specifically subdivides the core literacy of mathematics,among which the data concept is one of the core literacy cultivated in junior middle school mathematics curriculum,while the data concept is mainly cultivated and developed in the statistics and probability course of junior middle school.Therefore,it is very important and necessary to study the current situation of statistics and probability teaching of junior middle school based on data concept.The purpose of this study is to find the problems existing in the teaching of statistics and probability and the training of data concepts in junior middle school,and to put forward teaching suggestions based on the problems found,so as to provide references for better teaching activities of statistics and probability and better training of students’ data concepts in the future.Literature analysis method,questionnaire survey method,classroom observation method and interview method are used to carry out the research on the teaching status.Firstly,the literature analysis method is used to deeply understand the connotation of data concept,divide specific dimensions,design feasible test paper and its scoring criteria,classroom observation points and interview outline.Secondly,the questionnaire method is used to discover the statistics and probability learning status of junior high school students based on data concept.To understand the problems that are prone to occur in junior middle school students’ statistics and probability learning.Thirdly,to discover the current situation of statistics and probability teaching of junior middle school teachers based on data concept through classroom observation and interview,and to understand the problems and corresponding views of junior middle school front-line mathematics teachers in the process of statistics and probability teaching and developing students’ data concept.Finally,According to the current situation of "learning" of junior high school students and "teaching" of junior high school teachers,corresponding teaching suggestions are put forward to provide reference for teachers to train students’ concept of data in statistics and probability teaching activities in the future.The research found that in the process of statistics and probability teaching in junior high school based on data concept,students have problems such as low understanding level of statistics and probability content in junior high school,unbalanced development of data concept,and teachers have some understanding of the problems in students’ learning.But at the same time,there are also some problems,such as lack of comprehensive understanding of data concept,lack of emphasis on junior middle school statistics and probability teaching,lack of practical teaching activities of statistics and probability,problem background used in the teaching process and less innovation in teaching activities.In order to solve the problems in junior middle school statistics and probability teaching found in the study,and to better cultivate students’ concept of data in the future,the study puts forward teaching suggestions:teachers should change the concept of statistics and probability teaching,deeply understand the concept of data and statistics and probability knowledge,and pay attention to statistics and probability teaching;Teachers should develop students’ concept of data,attach importance to students’ understanding and mastering of the newly taught basic concepts of statistics and probability,attach importance to training students’ understanding of data collation and analysis methods,and attach importance to training students’ understanding of data randomness.Teachers should innovate teaching methods of statistics and probability,design statistics and probability related activities that can be implemented to cultivate students’ concept of data,and timely choose problems in line with the background of big data era for teaching. |
