| Mathematical computing ability,as one of the core competencies in mathematics, plays a crucial role in handling mathematical problems.Operation is the process of solving mathematical problems based on rules, theorems, and formulas.According to the"Mathematics Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)",computational ability mainly refers to the ability to perform calculations correctly according to rules and algorithms. Thus,it is of great necessity to clarify the present situation of computing ability of primary students and carry out targeted teaching to improve their computing ability accordingly. This thesis aims to explore the current situation of primary school students’ mathematical computing ability in grades 1-3,develop their mathematical computing ability, and promote the improvement of teachers’ teaching methods. It uses literature research, questionnaire survey, and test survey methods to explore and study the problems in the mathematical computing ability of primary school students in grades 1-3,and then organizes effective response measures to provide reference for the development of mathematical computing abilities among primary school students in grades 1-3.The research mainly used questionnaire survey and test survey methods, with 458 students and 25 teachers from nine classes in grade 1-3 of a primary school in Y city as the main research subjects. The main problems in the development of mathematical calculation ability of 458 students from nine classes in grade 1-3 of a primary school in Y city were found and analyzed:low accuracy of calculation, poor calculation habits, weak mastery of calculation rules, and poor problem-solving ability in estimation. There are six reasons for this:from the perspective of teachers, the understanding of computational ability is not comprehensive enough;Neglecting the cultivation of students’ various computational skills; Not good at stimulating students’ interest in computation; Not paying attention to cultivating students’ calculation habits; The evaluation criteria for computing ability are single;Lack of targeted guidance; From the perspective of students, they lack interest in computation;Students develop bad calculation habits;Insufficient practice of student operations;Students lack a correct attitude towards computation; The popularization and application of computers in the internet age have made students dependent on computation.Based on the above reasons, researchers propose teaching strategies to improve the computing ability of primary school students in grades 1-3:cultivate students’ good computing habits;Stimulate students’ interest in computation;Emphasize the cultivation of multiple computing abilities;Emphasize individualized teaching;Guide students to use computers correctly to promote the improvement of their own computing abilities. Finally, based on the proposed teaching strategies, the researcher takes the teaching design of "dividing two or three digits by one digit" as an example to discuss how to improve students’ computational abilities in specific teaching. |
