| Mathematical concepts are one of the important elements of mathematical knowledge,as well as an integral part of the mathematical knowledge system.Students need to rely on mathematical concepts for learning.Because to solve problems in mathematics,students have to fully understand mathematical concepts.Students learn concepts mainly by teaching them.Teaching concepts is very important and teachers should focus on teaching concepts.The core literacy concept also emphasizes the need for teachers to focus on teaching concepts and grasp the core concepts to help students understand the subject of mathematics.Although the system of teaching concepts is quite well developed now,students are also changing and still need to be taught according to their situation.There are still many uncovered areas of concept teaching.This study focuses on the teaching of mathematics concepts in the higher grades of elementary school to discover the problems in teaching concepts and find the path to solve them,thus helping elementary school mathematics teachers to answer their doubts,provide ideas,and finally make the teaching of concepts better and better.This thesis has seven main parts.At the top of the list is the beginning of the thesis.This section has the historical background of the study,why the study was conducted,the benefits of the study,what it is,how it was conducted,and what the methodology of the study was.Next is a summary of the thesis literature.This section includes the names of the concepts,the categories of the concepts,the process of forming mathematical concepts,and the methods of teaching mathematical concepts.Then there is an introduction to the definitions in this thesis.This part focuses on figuring out what is teaching concepts and what is teaching concepts in mathematics.Then comes the situation of the thesis,how to design the questionnaire,how to distribute the questionnaire,how to summarize and organize the data,and finally summarize the three aspects of the basic view,the practice process,and the evaluation method of teaching mathematical concepts.This is then followed by implementation suggestions for practices of teaching mathematical concepts in the higher grades of the elementary school band.It is the most important section in this thesis.The main areas are(1)changing teachers’ perceptions of teaching and learning and focusing on teaching mathematical concepts.(2)Refinement of teachers’ teaching styles with the aim of helping students learn concepts better.(3)Encourage teachers to use more different ways of assessment and to be reasonable and correct when assessing students.Finally,there is the conclusion section,which is also the ending section of this thesis.It mainly includes the results of the research paper,the areas that were not well studied,and the vision for future research.The main points are:(1)Students need to learn concepts in a scientific way.(2)Students enjoy learning the concepts and like to be involved in the learning.(3)Students need to clearly understand whether they have mastered the concepts.(4)Teachers need to spend more time and effort on teaching concepts,as well as to focus on the development of students’ thinking skills.(5)Teachers need to improve the way they introduce,form,and deepen the classroom so that students understand the meaning of the history of mathematics.(6)Teachers would do well to use a variety of ways to assess students and promote their conceptual learning. |
