In order to promote the high-quality development of special education,the state attaches great importance to the construction of special education teachers,and the focus of training special education teachers has shifted from expanding quantity to improving quality,and a high-quality teacher team is the key to promoting the development of special education in China.Special education expert teachers are the backbone of special education and the leaders of special education reform and development.They have firm educational beliefs and deep educational feelings,unique educational wisdom,and their professional growth experience is a valuable educational asset.Studying the professional growth history of special education expert teachers and revealing the law of their professional growth and development can provide useful reference for deepening special education reform and cultivating and creating a group of special education expert teachers.This study grasps the current situation of research on the professional development of expert teachers in special education schools by collecting and sorting out relevant literature.On this basis,teacher X,an expert special education teacher in Nanyang City,Henan Province,was taken as a case study object,and the materials of professional growth of the case were collected by a combination of interview,classroom observation and physical collection,and the unique course of professional growth of teacher X was found:during the pre-service teacher education period,he set foot on the path of special education by transfer admission,read professional books carefully,practiced sign language skills,and was able to consciously During the adaptation period of novice teachers,he is full of enthusiasm for the special education career,seeking advice and constantly improving his teaching and classroom management skills;during the development period of skilled teachers,he is brave to break through the status quo,actively participating in in-service training to improve his academic level,constantly learning professional knowledge through reading,drawing spiritual strength,and doing a good job in teaching and teaching management;during the stabilization period of expert teachers,he advocates reform the school’s preschool and high school education,develop special school-based curriculum,select as a municipal subject leader,lead the professional growth of young teachers,do a good job in teaching and management,pay attention to the rehabilitation education needs of special children,and optimize the school’s educational resources.Based on the socio-ecological system theory and Burlingame’s theory of teachers’ professional development stages,we searched for factors affecting teachers’professional growth from three systems:the national education policy and social ecological environment help teachers’ professional growth in the macro system,the special education school is the key platform for teachers’ professional growth in the meso system,and the pursuit of significant others and self-actualization drive professional growth in the micro system.Based on the description and attribution analysis of different periods of teacher X’s professional growth process,we explore the important insights obtained from teacher X’s professional growth process:the state pays attention to the high-quality training of special education teacher trainees,special education schools become an active field for teachers’ post-service professional growth,special education teachers deepen their professional learning and continuously sharpen their practice,and family support boosts special education teachers’ professional achievement and Family support contributes to the professional fulfillment and happiness of special education teachers.
