| Education for the elderly is an important way to actively respond to the aging population in Beijing,and has a directive and exemplary role in implementing national plans in the national education.It is vital to build a physical education and health curriculum system in Beijing University for the Elderly.This study takes the construction of the physical education and health curriculum system in Beijing University for the Elderly by means of literature research,expert interviews,Delphi method,analytic hierarchy process Questionnaire survey and mathematical statistics are used to analyze the target elements,content elements,and implementation strategies of the physical education and health curriculum system of Beijing University for the Elderly.Finally,evaluation and feedback are conducted on the constructed system to promote the sustainable development of the physical education and health curriculum system of Beijing University for the Elderly.Through research,the following conclusions have been drawn:,(1)At present,there is a shortage of physical education teachers in senior universities in Beijing,a mismatch between curriculum supply and student demand,a single type of curriculum content,and a lack of a complete hierarchical system.Based on the above issues,this article constructs a complete framework for the physical education and health curriculum system of Beijing University for the Elderly,serving as a curriculum design for Beijing University for the Elderly,and leveraging the role of school physical education and health education for the elderly.(2)In accordance with relevant national regulations and the actual needs of elderly learners,the three major goals are to enhance their health awareness and promote their mastery of sports and health knowledge and skills.Essentially,it is a gradual process of improving elderly learners from a level of awareness to knowledge ability,and then to action promotion,gradually transitioning from achieving the stage goal of participating in sports and health courses to achieving the ultimate goal.(3)According to the concept of "goal oriented content",three primary indicators were constructed,mainly focusing on knowledge of aging and health,theoretical content of sports and health,and practical content of sports and health.Correspondingly,12 secondary indicators and 43 tertiary indicators were derived from the primary indicators,ensuring the integrity and systematicity of the content structure of sports and health courses for elderly learners,and possessing scientific and reasonable characteristics.(4)On the basis of the physical and mental development characteristics of elderly learners,four teaching methods,namely unit based,discussion based,activity based,and platform based,are mainly used to improve the learning effectiveness of elderly learners,achieving maximum efficiency in the physical education and health classroom.At the same time,based on the concept of subjective qualitative and objective quantitative analysis,the curriculum assessment standards and indicators for elderly learners are constructed and quantified in the percentage system,Provide clear evaluation methods for elderly learners to participate in physical education and health courses.(5)Building a physical education and health curriculum system with curriculum objectives,content,teaching methods,and assessment standards can serve as an effective path to achieving healthy and active aging.At the same time,through the development of curriculum theory and practice,it provides a good curriculum platform for promoting the health of elderly learners and lays a solid foundation for the development of lifelong physical education.Based on the conclusion,the following suggestions are drawn:(1)The curriculum system needs to go through long-term practice to prove its value.In the future teaching of senior universities,practical teaching should be carried out based on the actual situation of senior universities,flexibly arranging teaching content,selecting teaching methods,implementing teaching assessments,and achieving maximum course benefits through timely adjustment and continuous improvement.(2)The physical education and health curriculum system of Beijing University for the Elderly constructed in this article is only a preliminary construction based on the physical and mental development characteristics of the elderly and relevant theoretical foundations.The exploration of operational aspects in the system is not deep enough,and continuous in-depth research is needed.(3)This study constructs a model through Analytic Hierarchy Process to determine the weight of evaluation indicators and quantify specific scores.The obtained data can be used as a reference standard for implementing curriculum evaluation in elderly universities,and corresponding scores should be given to students.However,in the actual teaching process,it should also be improved and adjusted according to the characteristics of students. |
