Nowadays,in South Korea,the trend of second language learners becoming younger is obvious.At the same time,the research on children’s Chinese language textbooks is constantly strengthened."Hao Bang Chinese Children’s book" is a classic textbook for primary school students in South Korea,which is widely popular in South Korea.As a foreign student in South Korea,the author has made a detailed study of the cultural factors in this set of textbooks from the perspective of the textbook user.With reference to "The Framework of Reference for Chinese Culture and Society in International Chinese Language Education",we have systematically studied and investigated the cultural factors in the textbooks from five aspects: vocabulary,text,exercise,illustration,and cultural knowledge box.Based on the questionnaire survey and interview with Korean elementary school students and Korean Chinese teachers,the following conclusions are drawn."Hao Bang Chinese Children’s book" highlights the diversity of cultural content,which covers 94 per cent of the primary cultural projects listed in "The Framework of Reference for Chinese Culture and Society in International Chinese Language Education".However,the distribution of cultural content is not balanced,and the content of cultural factors in textbooks focuses on social culture,but neglects the importance of traditional culture.The cultural content of "Hao Bang Chinese Children’s book" deserves to be appreciated,but the arrangement of cultural content is not systematic enough,and the textbooks contain cultural content that is not easy for elementary school students to understand.The presentation of cultural content in "Hao Bang Chinese Children’s book" is rich,but some of the cultural content is relatively old,which does not fully reflect China’s contemporary conditions.The comparison of cultural content in "Hao Bang Chinese Children’s book" helps students understand and accept cultural factors,but the lack of correlation between the contents of illustrations and texts and cultural knowledge box can lead to misunderstanding and even hindering students’ understanding of cultural content.Through the analysis of the survey results,in view of the problems in the arrangement of cultural factors in the textbook "Hao Bang Chinese Children’s book",the following suggestions for the compilation and use of the textbook are put forward.First of all,the use of teaching materials needs to give full play to the advantages of teaching materials.Teachers should pay attention to cultural comparison in classroom teaching,pay attention to the interestingness of cultural teaching content and methods,and improve the ability to control teaching materials.Secondly,the compilation of teaching materials needs to consider the times and authenticity.The distribution of cultural factors should be as balanced as possible,and traditional cultural factors should be added.The content of the cultural knowledge section should be closely related to the content of the text,and the content of the illustrations should be consistent with the content of cultural knowledge.In a word,the Chinese cultural factors in the Chinese teaching material for Korean primary school students should be carried forward,the shortcomings should be made up,and its role in Chinese teaching for Korean primary school students should be brought into full play. |
