Vocational school teachers bear the important responsibility of cultivating high-quality workers and skilled talents with comprehensive professional abilities,and the continuous scientific development of vocational school teachers’professional abilities is an important guarantee for achieving this task.At present,there is a lack of widespread recognition in the relevant fields of vocational school teachers’ professional ability development,and the effectiveness of professional ability development urgently needs to be improved.The development of vocational school teachers’ professional ability is facing serious challenges.In the context of the"14th Five Year Plan Outline" and "Made in China 2025",how to enhance the professional ability development of vocational school teachers and promote the high-quality development of vocational education has become a common concern of all sectors.The research focuses on the sustainable development status of vocational school teachers’ professional abilities.Based on the "Professional Standards for Secondary Vocational School Teachers(Trial)" and combined with practical research on vocational school teachers’ professional abilities at home and abroad,the professional abilities of vocational school teachers are divided into four dimensions:educational and teaching ability,practical training guidance,classroom management ability,independent learning and innovation ability.Based on the characteristics of vocational school teachers’ professional abilities,the study adopts the methods of questionnaire survey and interview research to study the professional ability development of H vocational school teachers from 2018 to 2021 through three evaluation subjects.Compared to 2018,the overall average professional ability development of teachers in the school significantly increased in 2021.The average increase in the four dimensions of ability was as follows:classroom management ability>education and teaching ability>independent learning and innovation ability.Only the average of practical training guidance ability showed a downward trend,and its average was significantly lower than the other three dimensions in 2018 and 2021.In addition,there is also a phenomenon of uneven development within the four dimensions of ability.Based on the results of the questionnaire survey,combined with literature and interviews,the study proposes the following problems in the development of the four dimensions of vocational school teachers’ professional abilities:the development of vocational school teachers’professional abilities mainly faces asymmetric demand information,lack of development resources,lack of joint collaboration and critical reflection,outdated information and communication technology(ICT),and gaps in systematic talent cultivation and evaluation policies.Based on this,the research puts forward five improvement measures for the development of secondary vocational teachers’ professional ability:1.Build a demand analysis and feedback tracking network for the development of secondary vocational teachers’ professional ability;2.Strengthen the investment in the training of secondary vocational teachers and establish a long-term effective training system;3.Introduce joint collaboration and critical reflection in professional capacity development activities,4.Encourage the exploration and application of information and communication technology(ICT)in professional capacity development;5.Establish professional training channels and ability assessment mechanism for secondary vocational teachers.
