| Education is a sacred undertaking that cares for and elevates the quality of life.The junior high school stage is a critical period for adolescent growth,where teachers must guide and nurture them to lay a good foundation for their future.With the rapid development of society and the acceleration of life pace,adolescents are under increasing pressure in learning,adapting to their environment,and managing interpersonal relationships.This has led to an increase in the incidence of mental health problems and psychological disorders,including tragic occurrences like suicide and self-harm.Many junior high school students display an indifference towards life in their daily lives and lack a sense of social responsibility.This emphasizes the urgent need for educators to strengthen the integration of life education into their teaching activities.Based on this background,using the new curriculum standard as a guide,it is important to clarify the concepts of life and life education and analyze the related theoretical basis.This includes traditional Chinese cultural views on life,Marxist views on life,and the views of Chinese Communist Party members,all of which emphasize the importance of life education.Through surveys,it was discovered that schools face several challenges when implementing life education,such as inadequate implementation of educational goals,limited content,insufficient exploration of resources,and the absence of innovative teaching methods used by teachers.To better implement life education in ethics and rule of law courses and adhere to the requirements of the new curriculum standards,teachers need to focus on overall planning,enhance their goal awareness,establish reasonable teaching objectives,and select effective teaching methods based on students’ practical development needs.Moreover,teachers need to strengthen their own professional development continually,adapt to changes in societal developments,timely expand the content of life education,fully tap potential resources and improve classroom teaching to strengthen life education’s effectiveness.To improve life education,the way of evaluation must also change,utilizing multi-faceted evaluations to help students better understand their life growth and actively participate in learning and life. |
