| Building a professional development community is a new trend in promoting teacher growth.As a new force in the teaching team,focusing on the professional development training of new teachers is the foundation for building a high-quality and high-level teaching team in the new era.This article takes four primary and secondary schools in S District,H City,Heilongjiang Province as a case study,using research methods such as literature analysis,questionnaire survey,and interviews.It tries to demonstrate the true face of the professional development community of newly recruited teachers,attempting to emphasize its important practical significance.This article consists of five parts.The introduction mainly elaborates the research background,research purpose,the significance,theoretical basis and the research methods.It also defines the concepts of "new teachers" and "professional development community of new teachers".Chapter 1,based on the learning organization theory,proposes the five core elements of the professional development community for newly recruited teachers,namely,common vision,identity,reflective ability,joint leadership,and shared open communication and cooperation,and expounds the relationship between the five elements.The second chapter presents the current situation of the professional development community of newly recruited teachers in four schools,which is,the current situation of the community’s activities is relatively good,and education managers,teachers,and students all recognize its value,with a high degree of participation.The third chapter discusses the current problems and causes of the problems.The survey found that there are currently issues such as new teachers’ unclear understanding of the community,poor effectiveness in their activity feedback practice,low sense of professional and collective identity,lack of leadership roles,and superficial community communication.The reasons are inadequate school management,the neglect of teachers’ personal vision,imperfect activity mechanisms,insufficient personal abilities of new teachers,and unchanged patterns of the mind which hinders effective communication.Chapter IV,starting from the five core elements of system,organization,vision,teachers,and culture,proposes practical suggestions to improve the community.This study believes that a professional development community is an effective organization that helps new teachers quickly adapt to the collective and promote their professional growth.Only by improving the construction of the professional development community for newly recruited teachers can we continuously improve the professional quality and ability of the teaching staff,strengthen the joint efforts among teachers,and thus promote the all-round development of students. |
