Enhancing the professional attractiveness of rural teachers and promoting the construction of rural teacher teams are the key links to improve the quality of rural education and assist in rural revitalization.Based on a questionnaire survey of 468 rural teachers,201 urban teachers,and 844 teacher model students,combined with interviews with 7 rural teachers,3 urban teachers,and 10 teacher model students,it was found that the current level of occupational attractiveness of rural teachers is low.There are significant differences among rural teachers,urban teachers,and normal school students.There are significant differences between different groups in gender and hometown location.There are significant differences among rural teacher groups in gender,teaching period,and teaching methods.Based on the survey results,this paper analyzes the relevant factors that affect the professional attractiveness of rural teachers from four aspects: professional identity,professional provision,personal interests,and spatial and social characteristics.Among them,the factors of professional identity,such as others’ identity and self identity,the factors of career provision,such as salary and welfare,school work environment,development space,personal interests,as well as public services,geographical environment,and social relations under the factors of spatial and social characteristics,all have a certain impact on the occupational attractiveness of rural teachers.Based on the analysis of influencing factors,strategies were proposed to enhance the professional attractiveness of rural teachers.One is to enhance the professional reputation of rural teachers and demonstrate their professional value.Including strengthening public opinion and forming a social atmosphere of respecting teachers and valuing education;Cultivate teacher ethics and shape the professional image of rural teachers;Casting the soul of teachers and cultivating the professional sentiment of rural teachers.The second is to ensure the professional provision of rural teachers and ensure professional support.Including paying attention to salary and benefits to meet the needs of simple survival;Pay attention to the educational ecological environment and create good working relationships;Explore development paths and achieve sustained career growth.The third is to expand the channels for supplementing teachers and enhance talent attraction.Including individual empowerment and integrated training to ensure that normal school students are "attracted";Humanized listening and localized training to ensure that rural teachers can be "retained";Urban and rural teacher exchanges and two-way mobility ensure that teachers "teach well".The fourth is to create a beautiful living space and construct a field culture.Including optimizing the ecological environment and strengthening the supply of public services;Cultivate local culture and touch the strings of cultural heritage;Pay attention to humanistic care and do a good job in rear support work.
