Effects Of Three-Month Vibration Resistance Training On Balance And Lower Limb Muscle Strength In Elderly Women With Sarcopenia

Research Objective:The aging problem is becoming more and more serious in the world,and the old people have become the focus group in the world.With the continuous growth of age,muscle mass and muscle strength decline in the body,the incidence of sarcopenia in the elderly increases,balance ability decreases,and the risk of falling greatly increases,which brings a double blow to the elderly both physically and psychologically.How to improve the muscle strength and balance of the elderly has also become a problem of great concern.This study conducted simple resistance training and vibration resistance training for three months on elderly women with sarcopenia,and observed the influence of the two training methods on the strength and balance ability of lower limb muscle of elderly women with sarcopenia,so as to provide a feasible exercise method for the enhancement of lower limb muscle strength and balance ability of elderly women with sarcopenia.Research Methods:In this study,45 elderly women with sarcopenia aged 60-70 years in Haidian District of Beijing were recruited and randomly divided into control group(15),resistance group(15)and vibration resistance group(15).The subjects in the control group maintained their daily living habits without any exercise intervention;The subjects in the resistance group received simple resistance training for 3 months;The subjects in the vibration resistance group received 3 months vibration resistance training.Before and after the experiment,the relevant indexes of lower limb muscle strength and balance ability of the subjects in the three groups were tested.The paired sample T test was used to analyze the differences of each index before and after the experiment,and the covariance analysis was used to analyze the differences among the three groups,and multiple comparisons were made after the experiment.Research Results:The results of lower limb muscle strength showed that:(1)compared with before the experiment,the bending knee strength of the control group decreased significantly,while the other indicators did not change significantly;The hip flexion strength,hip extension strength and knee extension strength of the subjects in the simple resistance group and the vibration resistance group were increased to varying degrees,but the bending knee strength had no significant change;The results of covariance analysis showed that the strength of right hip extension,mean strength of left and right hip extension,mean strength of left and right knee flexion,mean strength of left and right knee flexion were significantly different among the three groups(P=0.016,η_p~2=0.233;P=0.095,η_p~2=0.133;P=0.004,η_p~2=0.253;P=0.019,η_p~2=0.211;P=0.000,η_p~2=0.335),the strength of right hip extension,the mean strength of left hip extension,the mean strength of left knee flexion,the mean strength of right knee flexion and the mean strength of left and right knee flexion in vibration resistance group and resistance group were significantly higher than those in control group;The strength of right extension hip in vibration resistance group was significantly higher than that in resistance group.(2)Compared with before the experiment,the control group had no significant change in sitting time for five consecutive times,the subjects in the simple resistance group had a decrease in sitting time for five consecutive times but no significant difference,and the subjects in the vibration resistance group had a significant decrease in sitting time for five consecutive times.The results of covariance analysis showed that there were significant differences among the three groups in sitting time for five consecutive times(P=0.044,η_p~2=0.108),among which the vibration resistance group was significantly lower than the control group,and the rest had no significant differences.The results of balance ability index showed that:(1)compared with before the experiment,the time of standing with one foot closed was reduced between the control group and the simple resistance group,but there was no significant difference;In the vibration resistance group,the standing time with one foot closed was significantly increased.The results of covariance analysis showed that the standing time with one foot closed was significantly different among the three groups(P=0.006,η_p~2=0.222),and the vibration resistance group was significantly higher than the simple resistance group and the control group,but there was no significant difference between the simple resistance group and the control group.(2)Compared with before the experiment,the body shaking ellipse,the pressure center displacement of the stable platform with eyes closed and the pressure center displacement of the unstable platform with eyes closed significantly increased in the control group and the simple resistance group;In the vibration resistance group,the body shaking ellipse,the pressure center displacement of the stable platform with eyes closed,and the pressure center displacement of the unstable platform with eyes closed all decreased significantly.The results of covariance analysis showed that the body shaking ellipse,the pressure center displacement of the stable platform with eyes closed and the pressure center displacement of the unstable platform with eyes closed were significantly different among the three groups(P=0.029,η_p~2=0.292;P=0.002,η_p~2=0.447;P=0.000,η_p~2=0.713),among which,the vibration resistance group was significantly lower than the simple resistance group and control group,but there was no significant difference between the simple resistance group and control group.(3)Compared with before the experiment,there were no significant differences in the three-meter reentry time and left and right functional extension distance among the three groups.The results of covariance analysis showed that there was no significant difference among the three groups of subjects.Research Conclusion:(1)Three months of simple resistance training and vibration resistance training can effectively improve the lower limb muscle strength of elderly women with sarcopenia,which can significantly increase the strength of hip extension and bending the knee in elderly women with sarcopenia.The effect of vibration resistance training is better than that of simple resistance training in right hip extension strength.(2)Three months of vibration resistance training can significantly improve the static balance ability of elderly women with sarcopenia,but resistance training alone has no significant effect on static balance ability.(3)Three months of simple resistance training and vibration resistance training had no significant effect on the dynamic balance ability of the elderly women with sarcopenia.
