Market power,academic power and administrative power are the three factors affecting higher education.This paper mainly discusses the influence of market regulation on higher education from the perspective of market.Since 1992,when the party put forward the establishment of socialist market economy at the 14 th Party Congress,Chinese higher education began to enter market regulation times gradually by plan regulation.As an important means to allocate higher education resources,market regulation plays an important role in the development of higher education.But no approach is perfect,and neither is market regulation.Practice has proved that market regulation has both positive and negative effects on higher education.The positive aspects mainly include: Market regulation can expand the scale of higher enrollment,promote the popularization of higher education,adjust the enrollment ratio of different levels of higher education,constantly reform and innovate the enrollment system and methods of higher education,adjust the types of higher education disciplines and specialties,and promote the rationalization of discipline and specialty structure.It can give full play to the advantages of disciplines and specialties,reasonably adjust the scale of disciplines in higher education and the proportion of talents training at different levels,expand the scale of teachers in higher education,promote the rationalization of the structure of college teachers,improve the comprehensive ability of teachers in higher education,broaden the channels of employment of talents in higher education,enrich the ways of employment,and expand the scale of employment of talents in higher education through market regulation.The negative aspects mainly include: market regulation will lead to uneven distribution of higher education students and affect education equity;Will lead to different types of college enrollment ratio imbalance phenomenon;It will lead to the duplication of higher education disciplines and specialties,resulting in the waste and uneven distribution of educational resources.It will make the establishment of disciplines utilitarian and reduce the quality of talents in higher education.It will result in the utilitarian flow of teachers in higher education and affect the faculty in colleges and universities.It will strengthen the internal friction and vicious competition among college teachers and produce Matthew effect.Will make higher education talent employment competition intensified,employment difficulties;Will make higher education talent employment proportion imbalance situation.In order to give full play to the positive role of market regulation,the following suggestions are put forward: first,clear the boundary of market regulation,alleviate the imbalance of higher education enrollment ratio and promote education equity;Second,correctly understand the regulating role of the market,and rationally set up disciplines and specialties to pay attention to the quality of personnel training;Third Respect the law of market regulation,promote the reasonable flow of college teachers and improve their ability;Fourth,adhere to the combination of market regulation and plan regulation,provide employment information to help students establish a correct employment concept.It is hoped that the research of this paper can provide some ideas for higher education related research.
