In March 2014,the concept of "core literacy" was first introduced in the "Opinions of the Ministry of Education on Comprehensively Deepening Curriculum Reform and Implementing the Fundamental Task of Building People’s Moral Character",which has gradually become an important basis for implementing the task of building people’s moral character,revising curriculum standards and developing curriculum programmes.Mathematics homework is an important part of mathematics teaching and education,and the importance of primary school mathematics teachers designing mathematics homework based on core literacies is self-evident,as well as being an appropriate part of the "double reduction" policy.Mathematics homework is an important extension and supplement to classroom teaching,and an important basis for assessment and feedback to students.Mathematics homework not only deepens students’ understanding of the mathematical knowledge they have learnt,but also helps to improve their abilities and comprehensive literacy,which is an important way to develop core literacy.Since the introduction of core literacies,the issue of integrating them into the curriculum has received increasing attention from the education community.Therefore,using core literacy as an entry point to investigate and study the current situation of mathematics homework in upper primary schools is of great significance in developing students’ core literacy and improving the overall quality of teaching and learning.This study consists of six parts.The first part is an introduction,which introduces the background of the study,the purpose and significance of the study,and the concepts and methods of the study.The second part is a literature review,which provides an overview of domestic and international research in core literacy,domestic and international research on core literacy in mathematics,and domestic and international research on mathematics homework,followed by a literature review to find out the current status of mathematics homework in upper primary school from a core literacy perspective,and thus defines the research direction of this paper.The third part is the definition of the core concepts,i.e.the core concepts of core literacy,mathematics homework and upper primary school.The fourth part is to collate and analyse the results of the research on the current state of mathematics homework in primary schools.This includes an analysis of the data from the questionnaires and the results of the teacher interviews as a way to understand the current situation of mathematics homework for upper primary school students in Nanning T.The fifth part is a targeted proposal for implementing core literacies in mathematics homework for upper primary school students.The sixth part is the conclusion,which presents the innovations and shortcomings of this paper,as well as the research outlook for this paper. |
