| With the continuous and in-depth development of the integration of information technology and education,learning methods and learning resources are becoming more and more diverse.The research on video games and education first appeared in 1966.Researchers tried to apply games to teaching and make learners love learning as they love games.After continuous development,it has derived a series of electronic education game products combining games with education,such as edutainment,serious games,educational games and gamification of teaching.Researchers try to use games to stimulate learners’ interest in learning,develop their cognitive abilities,develop problem-solving and collaborative learning skills,and establish and convey correct emotional values.With the in-depth exploration of education and games,people are faced with some prominent problems and difficulties:(1)the resources are not rich enough,and the number of educational games that can be downloaded and used in the market is small;(2)The quality of educational games is not high.Due to the imbalance between the educational and playfulness of educational games,learners lack interest in education or are excessively addicted to games and ignore the knowledge content;(3)Insufficient application.Developers lack application research after completing the design and development of educational games.Some parents and teachers think that as long as it is a game,they will lose their mind.These phenomena are mainly caused by the difficulty of the development of educational games.In addition to choosing the right content,we should also find the best point of convergence between education and games to complete the development of educational games.To solve the problem of the core of education game development is difficult,this study is presented based on the electronic game transformation of education development strategy,the architecture and the core algorithm of using electronic game,through the appropriate development tool will be deployed to the architecture of the game,learning materials to complete knowledge and the mapping of the game content,educational and gameplay together,to reengineer new education games.Based on this research purpose,this research adopts literature analysis method,questionnaire survey method,scale evaluation method and prototype method,and mainly carries out the following four aspects of work:(1)Through reading a large number of literature,analyze the domestic and foreign status quo of the combination of electronic games and education from both theoretical and practical aspects.(2)Study the theories related to education and games to provide theoretical guidance for the design and development of educational games.(3)Research and propose transformation strategies for different game contents and game mechanisms,and explore their educational value and requirements for carrying knowledge.(4)Using the prototype research method,Words Pop and Kong Hero are respectively transformed into educational games based on the Knowledge of English vocabulary and grammar in Link Game and Super Mario Bros,to explore the way to realize the educational transformation of electronic games,and let students,teachers and experts evaluate the transformed games.Verify the feasibility of the educational game design and development strategy proposed in this study based on the transformation of electronic games.The research shows that the educational game design and development strategy based on video game transformation is feasible.Firstly,the technical functions,contents and mechanisms of electronic games are analyzed to determine the game elements and constitute the game content space.Then learning materials are determined through teaching analysis,and knowledge space is formed after computer coding.Finally,learning materials are deployed to the game content space to complete the mapping process between knowledge space and game content space,forming a new educational game.After the completion of development,the educational game needs to be tested in practice,and then modified again according to user feedback until it is satisfied.This study provides a new idea for designers and developers,and expects more researchers to use this strategy to design and develop educational games in the future,which will promote the further development of educational games. |
