ARCS model is a teaching design model containing four levels of attention,relevance,confi dence and satisfaction,which focuses on how to mobilize and maintain students’ learning motivat ion through instructional design,and has more applied research in secondary and higher educatio n in China.Gamification teaching is a kind of teaching activity that aims to disseminate knowled ge,takes learners as the center,integrates game elements and game mechanisms in the process of teaching and learning,and stimulates students’ interest and concentration through interactive and interesting educational games,which is currently widely used in primary and secondary educatio n and early childhood education in China,and has achieved more research results.The integratio n of ARCS model and gamified teaching,the four elements of ARCS model are used to guide the gamification teaching design,and the gamified teaching mode based on the ARCS model is cons tructed,which can effectively play the role of dual integration of learning motivation and learnin g interest,and achieve the purpose of improving learning effect and teaching effect.With the dee pening of vocational education reform and the increasing demand for high-skilled talents in socie ty,improving the teaching quality of secondary vocational education and the quality of talent trai ning has become an important part of the reform and development of secondary vocational educa tion.The survey found that traditional classroom teaching is prone to problems such as insufficie nt learning motivation,low interest in learning,and poor learning effect in secondary vocational education,which affects the level and quality of students’ ability to transform knowledge into skil ls.Therefore,it is a positive attempt to integrate the ARCS model with gamified teaching to cons truct a gamified teaching mode based on the ARCS model based on the current learning status an d teaching status of secondary vocational schools,and to carry out practical research in the profes sional course of mid-career hotel service and management,in order to extend the application scop e of the gamified teaching mode based on the ARCS model,and continuously enrich the teaching mode of mid-career hotel service and management major,and improve the training quality and te aching quality of middle-level talents.In this study,the literature research method is used to sort out the relevant research on ARCS model and gamification teaching at home and abroad,and clarify the research direction.Secondly,through questionnaire surveys and teacher interviews,we understand the learning status of students in the "Front Office Service" course and the teaching status of the "Front Office Service" course,and then summarize the problems in the teaching of the "Front Office Service" course according to the learning status and teaching status.Then,based on the theories of constructivism,flow and awakening games,according to the analysis of the current situation of the "Front Office Service" course,the design principles and ideas of the gamification teaching mode based on the ARCS model are deeply studied,and the four elements of the ARCS model are integrated into the gamification teaching design,and the gamification teaching mode based on the ARCS model before,during and after class is constructed.Finally,the application case of gamified teaching mode based on the ARCS model is designed with the "Accepting Telephone Reservation Service" in the fourth section of Chapter 2 of the "Front Office Service" course for middle school,and practical teaching is carried out in the hotel service and management major of Guangxi XX Vocational and Technical School,and the learning effect of students is analyzed through classroom observation,questionnaire survey,teacher evaluation and test results,and teaching reflection is carried out before,during and after class according to the analysis results.Summarize the problems existing in the teaching practice of this teaching mode and propose corresponding solutions.Through practical research,it is proved that the gamified teaching mode based on ARCS mo del has achieved certain results in the teaching application of middle vocational "Front Office Ser vice" course,and the following research conclusions are drawn: First,the gamified teaching mod e based on the ARCS model can effectively stimulate and maintain students’ learning motivation,and the game activities are designed according to the four elements of ARCS model,which stren gthens the connection between knowledge and students,improves students’ classroom attention,e nhances students’ confidence and satisfaction in learning,and effectively improves and maintains students’ learning motivation.Second,based on the ARCS model,the gamified teaching mode ca n effectively improve students’ interest in learning,and gamified teaching has the teaching effect of "edutainment",which combines knowledge and games to enhance the interest and attractivene ss of knowledge,quickly attract students’ attention,and gradually improve students’ interest in lea rning.Third,based on the ARCS model gamification teaching mode can effectively promote stud ents’ understanding and mastery of knowledge,the mode designs the corresponding teaching mod e according to the pre-class,in-class and post-class classes,effectively guides students to complet e pre-class preparation,in-class learning,and after-class consolidation,and gradually strengthens students’ mastery of knowledge.Fourth,based on the ARCS model,the gamified teaching mode can effectively improve the enthusiasm of teachers,and teachers’ teaching enthusiasm is closely r elated to students’ learning attitude,while gamified teaching improves students’ learning attitude and improves students’ learning effect,satisfies teachers’ sense of achievement in teaching,and th en improves teachers’ enthusiasm for teaching.
