| Experiential teaching is a teaching method in which students acquire knowledge through hands-on participation under the guidance of teachers.In the context of the continuous development and innovation of education in the new era,guiding students to experience and helping them to learn geography is getting more and more attention from geography teachers.Experiential teaching not only enriches the pedagogy of high school geography,but also helps to cultivate students’ comprehensive ability and promote their all-round development.However,the current geography teaching in China is mainly based on lecture method and problem method,and students’ experience and perception are not enough,so the student-oriented experiential teaching is of great significance.Therefore,it is of certain practical significance to study experiential teaching inside and outside the class and apply it to high school geography teaching.Through literature research method,questionnaire survey method,case study method and empirical method,this paper further explores the ways and strategies of experiential teaching applied in geography teaching,designs the application process of experiential teaching inside and outside the class,designs two cases of experiential teaching according to in-class and out-of-class,and designs relevant evaluation scales according to experiential activities,analyzes experiential teaching and its The application of experiential teaching and its application in high school geography teaching were analyzed,and the effect of experiential teaching was evaluated in depth to provide a new methodological reference for front-line geography teachers’ teaching.The following conclusions were mainly drawn:Firstly,this paper outlines the application methods of experiential teaching inside and outside the class,including contextual experience,class exercises,and social investigation type of extracurricular inquiry.According to the main links of teaching activities:introduction-inquiry-evaluation links,this paper formulates the application strategies of experiential teaching inside and outside the class,including using life experiences and local cases to stimulate emotional experiences,designing inquiry and experience activities by combining the contents of teaching materials,and using various evaluation methods to provide experiential feedback.Secondly,this paper designs a general process for the application of experiential teaching inside and outside the class,namely "three stages and six steps",which includes: teaching preparation stage,developing experience stage,and transferring application stage,providing reference for front-line geography teachers to implement experiential teaching inside and outside the class.Third,through empirical studies in secondary schools,it is found that the implementation of experiential teaching is conducive to promoting students’ active participation in the class,helping them acquire geography knowledge,improving their geography performance,effectively enhancing students’ geography subject literacy,and being able to meet the needs of students’ geography in-class inquiry and geography out-of-class learning.To sum up,experiential teaching inside and outside the class has certain feasibility when applied to high school geography teaching;experiential teaching inside and outside the class can effectively promote students’ geography learning,can meet the needs of students’ geography learning,and has a certain role in improving students’ geography core literacy. |
