Music class plays an important role in improving the music level of middle school students and enhancing their artistic appreciation ability and humanistic quality.Since the founding of New China,music education in primary and secondary schools in China has achieved remarkable results.Especially after being listed as the national education policy,music education has developed by leaps and bounds.For the integration of countryside with city at present stage,however,the school music teaching seriously insufficient,music lessons are often placed in the position of a dispensable,this to improve middle school students’ aesthetic education had a great negative impact,therefore,the integration of urban and rural areas school music education present situation research has important significance and value.Pingliang City is located in the east of Gansu Province,at the east foot of Liupan Mountain and the upper reaches of Jing River,which is the intersection of Shaanxi,Gansu and Ningxia provinces.Due to its remote geographical location,the music education in Pingliang City still has great defects when compared with developed cities.In this paper,four schools in Pingliang city as an example,through questionnaire survey and interview methods,investigate the current situation of music education in urban and rural junior high schools,analyze the problems found in teaching,formulate strategies for the development of music education in urban and rural junior high schools,trying to provide some ideas and help for the work of music teaching in urban and rural junior high schools.Through macro analysis and systematic sorting,this research finds out the problems of music education in junior middle schools in urban and rural areas of Pingliang City.By means of questionnaire survey,interview and field survey,this research is conducted from three aspects: school,teachers and students.In view of the situation of school music education,the main reasons for this phenomenon are analyzed,and the corresponding development countermeasures are put forward according to the reasons.Try to Pingliang city urban and rural junior middle school music education to play a certain theoretical value and practical value.
