Currently, left behind children still account for a large proportion in rural schools, and many of them are growing up in authoritarian families. The problems that occur among left behind children in rural areas are becoming increasingly prominent, such as inferiority, depression, aversion to learning, irritability, and even negative moral behavior. This not only has a significant impact on the psychological health of left behind children in rural areas, but also affects social harmony and stability.Social workers went to a rural primary school in Y town and selected Xu,a left behind child from the school,as the research object.Under the guidance of the advantage perspective theory, interview, questionnaire, and literature analysis methods were used to intervene in the issue of improving the confidence of left behind children in authoritarian rural families through case studies.Integrate the perspective of advantages throughout the entire intervention process, combined with the actual situation of the case owner, and grasp every potential advantage.According to the attribution and needs of the service object’s problems, intervention is carried out from three levels: the first level is from the individual aspect of the service object, with the current hobbies of the service object as the starting point, affirming the individual talent of the case owner, encouraging the case owner to turn their hobbies into career ideals through hard learning and a positive attitude, changing their misconceptions, and re accepting themselves; The second level is carried out from the perspective of the service recipient’s family, helping the service recipient and parents to open their hearts, resolve misunderstandings, convey correct educational concepts to grandparents, and provide a good growth environment for the service recipient; The third level is carried out from the perspective of serving the target school, fully utilizing resources, and creating a friendship situation for the case owner based on class meetings and school sports meet,to help the case owner gain emotional support and confidence. Then, the Rosenberg Self Confidence Scale and the Family Environment Scale were used to compare the situation of the case owner before and after receiving the service, and the evaluation was conducted based on the transformation of the service object. The results indicate that under the guidance of the advantage perspective theory, the intervention of case work in rural left behind children under authoritarian family upbringing methods significantly improves their confidence.Research has shown that the case work method based on an advantage perspective is feasible and effective in enhancing the confidence of left behind children in rural areas under authoritarian family upbringing methods.Social workers should pay attention to fully tapping the potential of the case owner when using the advantage perspective theory to intervene in such issues;Provide parental education to guardians of left behind children in rural areas; The government and social organizations work together to build a "happy station" for left behind children in rural areas.
