Being in a transitional period, although the various aspects of China’s social and economic develop rapidly, there are some problems inevitably. The problems of grandparents’upbringing appear just in this background. In the village, many young parents go out for work, thinking about the policy restrictions and the economic cost, they leave children in the village raised by grandparents. So a number of grandparents’ upbringing families appear inevitably. Grandparents’upbringing has become a widespread social problem in China’s rural areas. The family is the important place of children living. Home environment and family members have important effects on socialization of children. Socialization of children plays an important role in one’s life. Grandparents’upbringing has a very important impact on rural left-behind children. For the healthy growth of left-behind children in rural areas, we must pay attention to rural households and concern about Grandparents’ upbringing of rural left-behind children.This paper takes inter-generational families, which is in D village of Wuhe county in Anhui province, as the object for study. Through questionnaire and interviewing method, we know that in the grandparents’upbringing families of D village, grandparents parents are young, low literacy level and raising a small number of left-behind grandchildren. The frequency is relatively small that left-behind children’s parents go home. More than 60 percent of rural parents go home only once a year. Grandparents’upbringing has strong color of traditional utilitarian overtones in the rearing philosophy. It focuses on raising grandchildren rather than education, while paying more attention to static education rather than dynamic education. In the raising contest, there are some problems on Life care, habits, interpersonal relationships and psychological care, when grandparents take care of left-behind children. Finally, grandparents parenting styles are relatively simple and crude. And the coexistence of doting education and authoritarian education is common. In addition, grandparents emphasize reciting a lot when they teach grandchildren.The problems of grandparents’ upbringing are influenced by the multi-factor. It has some advantages for grandparents’ upbringing. And traditionally, they are associated with the phenomenon of early marriage and traditional upbringing ideas in rural areas of China. In family, they have to do with parent-child separation, absence of parental education and the low quality and ability of grandparents. The problems are accentuated by a shortage of attention of students’ other aspects and communication between schools and families. Socially, grandparents’ upbringing is lack of government policy support and practical support in the community.In view of grandparents’ upbringing problems, I think we should solve the problems from five respects. In the family, parents and children should communicate and live together as much as possible. Grandparents should change their minds and improve their level of education. Schools should pay more attention to the rural left-behind children and develop abilities of students from various aspects. The government should provide policy support for migrant workers and their children living together, and more resources should be devoted to rural education. Rural communities should help grandparents to learn scientific method of education and carry out community work for families in need in rural areas. Finally, social media should treat left-behind children correctly and create a positive environment for them.
