The stability of archery performance is related to many factors, and the shooter’s own factors are the easiest to reduce or avoid, and reducing the archer’s own unstable factors through targeted training,so as to improve the stability of performance is the most effective measure. Therefore,it is more and more important to find targeted training methods that effectively improve the stability of performance. This study explores the effect of core stability training and pile training on the stability of traditional archery performance by comparing the effect of core stability training and pile training on the stability of traditional archery performance, and provides new ideas for improving the performance stability of traditional archery. In this study, the literature method, experimental method, expert interview method, mathematical statistics method and questionnaire survey method were mainly used.Taking 80 students from three Chinese archery elective classes of Wuhan Institute of Physical Education as the research object, the three classes were randomly organized into experimental group A(core stability training),experimental group B(pile training),and control group C(no special intervention). Before and after the 18-week experiment, the effects of core stability training and the station pile training on the stability of traditional archery performance were analyzed from the standard deviation of traditional archery performance and the full distance of traditional archery score. The experimental results showed that:(1)After 18 weeks of core stability training, there were significant changes in the flexibility and extension range of the students’ trunk,one-minute sit-ups,dominant leg single-foot standing, dominant leg single-foot jump, and prone trunk extensor group endurance(P<0.05).(2)After 18 weeks of pile training, students’ attention stability, volitional quality, exercise self-confidence,and anxiety all changed significantly(P<0.05).(3)After 18 weeks of intervention, the standard deviation of the traditional archery 10-meter target score in experimental A group and experimental B decreased by 0.02 and 0.04,the standard deviation of the 15-meter target score decreased by0.31 and 0.23,respectively,and the standard deviation of the 20-meter target score decreased by 0.80.0.27,respectively,but the standard deviation of the experimental A group was still larger than the standard deviation of the experimental group B.(4)From the middle test to the post-test,the full distance of the traditional archery 10-meter results in experimental group A and experimental B were reduced by 0.48 and 0.27,the full distance of the 15-meter results decreased by 0.43 and 0.75,and the full distance of the 20-meter results decreased by 1.17 and 0.48,respectively.Conclusion:(1)After 18 weeks of intervention, core stability training and pile standing effectively improved the stability of traditional archery performance.(2)After 18 weeks of intervention, the effect of pile training on the stability of traditional archery performance was better than that of core stability training on the stability of traditional archery performance.(3)After 18 weeks of intervention, pile standing training effectively improved students’ self-confidence,attention,volitional quality, and anxiety scale scores.(4)After 18 weeks of intervention, core stability training effectively improved students’ trunk flexion and extension range,one-minute sit-ups,dominant leg single-legged standing, dominant leg single-foot jump, prone trunk posterior extensor endurance test results.
