Encouraging social forces to participate in school sports services and actively promoting swimming on campus is an important measure to implement the national fitness strategy, implement the integration of sports and education, and implement the dual reduction policy. It is also an important way to improve the quality of school sports work.Learning techniques and improving speed are the main goals of swimming learning for teenagers. Therefore, the improvement of swimming speed helps to enhance the sense of achievement, motivation, and confidence of youth sports;Exploring training methods and means to improve swimming speed is a permanent goal pursued by teachers and coaches.Core stability training originated from rehabilitation medicine and has been widely used in many sports.Core stability training is a training method based on adding "unstable factors" to core strength training;Adding unstable factors to traditional strength training and increasing the difficulty of core strength training are key factors that distinguish core strength training from traditional strength training. The purpose of this article is to explore whether core stability training has an impact on the speed of juvenile freestyle swimming. The experimental sites of this study were the swimming pool and basketball court in the Wu Yunduo Experimental School in Jinhu City; The subjects of the experiment were 30 students in the first grade of junior high school in Jinhu Wuyunduo Experimental School; The main research methods of the experiment are experimental method and testing method; The experimental plan is to divide 30 students into an experimental group(15 people)and a control group(15 people)based on factors such as physical fitness and comprehensive swimming ability. For the experimental group,a core stability training program is added to the regular freestyle training, while the control group conducts a freestyle water training plan. The two groups conduct experimental training twice a week at the same time and location for 60 minutes each time within 8 cycles,In addition,it is required to test the waist stability, balance ability, and freestyle scores of students in the experimental and control groups in the early stages of the experiment, and conduct a post test in the later stages of the experiment to compare the experimental data before and after the experiment with the experimental results produced by the two groups of training programs. The results of the 8-week comparative experiment show that the results of the core stability training experimental group and the fixed training control group in the50 m freestyle test were 40.36±3.57 s and 48.00±5.25 s,respectively, and the results of the 100 m freestyle test were 92.69±8.21 s and 102.25±10.22 s,respectively. The T-test analysis of the two groups of data showed that P<0.01.It can be concluded that both schemes can improve the students’ 50 m and 100 m freestyle performance, but the data of the experimental group is superior to the control group. Conclusion: Core stability training can effectively improve the waist stability and balance ability of11-12 year olds;Core stability training can improve the freestyle performance of 11-12 year olds.
