| With the deepening of aging in our country and the influence of family miniaturization, more and more elderly people choose to support themselves in institutions. At present, the development of pension institutions is uneven.Generally speaking, most pension institutions pay attention to meeting the material needs, while most ignore the spiritual needs of the elderly.Elderly people with mild physical disability in institutions, limited to their physical conditions, aggravate their social isolation, coupled with the change of living environment, lack of social participation and recreational activities after being admitted to institutions, resulting in low selfidentity, poor integration with the environment, and insufficient social support network,so that their inner negative emotions cannot be dissipated in time. One of the more serious problems is loneliness.Based on this, this paper takes Y elderly care Institution as the research site, and uses group work, one of the three working methods of social work,to build a platform for the elderly with mild disability to connect with others,in an attempt to fill the unmet emotional vacancy of the elderly with mild disability in the institutional life from the perspective of micro-intervention,and promote the improvement of loneliness of the elderly.Based on the dominant perspective theory and social support theory, this paper designed six group activities suitable for the elderly with mild disability, and observed the changes in the loneliness of the subjects after the intervention of group activities. In this study, group activities are divided into three stages: first,to help the elderly to perceive themselves and vent their feelings of loneliness, and to constantly use positive reinforcement in activities to enable the elderly to obtain positive self-cognition and improve their self-confidence in communication.Secondly,by strengthening communication and interaction with the staff of the institution, the elderly are helped to link to social support from the institution. Finally, improve the frequency of communication between the elderly and their families, strengthen the construction of family emotional support, and fill the vacancy of family care.According to the comparison of group activities before and after intervention,it was found that the elderly with mild disability in the institution were more willing to communicate than those before intervention. They could explore their own interests to enrich their life in the institution, solve their own problems by using the social support network, and improve the original isolation. In conclusion, the intervention of group work can play the function of spiritual consolation to a certain extent and improve the loneliness of the elderly with mild disability in institutions. Finally, the improvement of loneliness among the elderly is a continuous process,so it is necessary to provide follow-up services after the end of the service and continue to consolidate the results of the service. |
