Speed quality, including reaction speed, movement speed and displacement speed,is one of the basic qualities of the human body. The high school stage is the important period for the development of speed quality.Choosing a more scientific and efficient training method is of great significance to promote the development of high school basketball players’ physical fitness and improve their sports performance.Cross Fit is a novel, efficient and more functional training system. It is relatively not so popular in China at present, and it is rarely used in high school basketball training. This paper is to study the impact of Cross Fit on the special speed quality of high school basketball players, using the methods of literature review, expert interview, experiments, mathematical analysis and other research methods. The experiment takes 20 members of the men’s basketball team of the Middle School Attached to Huazhong University of Science and Technology as the research object. It sets up the experimental group and the control group, and tests the special speed of the two groups before the experiment, that is,the reaction speed, movement speed and displacement speed. There are 6 test indicators including the simple reaction speed test using reaction light, the complex reaction speed test using reaction light, the continuing alternative cross-leg-dribble during the moves in the half court, the all-court comprehensive lay-up test, the three-quarter court sprint run test, and the four 15-meter turn-back run tests. The two groups were given Cross Fit(CF)training and traditional resistance training(TRT)intervention for 30-60 minutes for 8 weeks, three times a week, respectively. After 8 weeks of training, the special speed of the two groups of players was tested again. The experimental data before and after the experiment were input into SPSS software, and the changes of the special speed quality of high school basketball players under the intervention of two different training systems were compared and analyzed. The research strives to find out more suitable training methods to improve the special speed quality of high school basketball players, and provides theoretical reference and practical evidence for the development of physical education activities to develop the special speed quality of high school basketball players. The following research results are obtained through experiments:(1)There was no statistical difference in the test data of the simple speed test using reaction light and the complex speed test using reaction light in the experimental group before and after the experiment.(2)There were extremely significant statistical differences in the test data of thecontinuing alternative cross-leg-dribble during the moves in the half court, the all-court comprehensive layup test, the 3/4 court sprint run test, and the four 15-meter turn-back run test in the experimental group before and after the experiment.(3)There was no statistical difference in the test data of the simple speed test using reaction light, the complex speed test using reaction light, the continuing alternative cross-leg-dribble during the moves in the half court, the all-court comprehensive layup test, the 3/4 court sprint run test, and the four 15-meter turn-back run test in the control group before and after the experiment. The following research conclusions are obtained through experiments:(1)CF and TRT have a positive impact on the special speed quality of high school basketball players.(2)CF is significantly better than TRT in improving the special speed quality of high school basketball players(3)The quality of reaction speed is largely affected by genetic effects, while CF and TRT have little influence.
