A Sound Study On The Protection Policy Of Children In Distress In China From The Perspective Of Development-oriented Social Policy Theory

Children are the future of the motherland,the hope of the Chinese nation,the successors of the great cause of building a strong country and national rejuvenation,and the main force in the future.With the great attention of the Party and the government,China’s legal system for protecting children’s rights and interests has been gradually improved,the legitimate rights and interests of children have been effectively protected,and the environment for survival and development has been further optimized.However,as a special group of children,children in distress are deeply affected by the family environment or their own diseases,they are prone to physical,psychological and developmental obstacles,and some extreme events that impact the bottom line of social morality occur from time to time,which not only infringe on the rights and interests of children in difficulty,but also affect social harmony and stability,so the protection of children in distress is a prominent problem that needs to be properly solved in today’s society.This paper first sorts out the research literature on developmental social policies and child protection policies in difficult situations at home and abroad,fully understands the current research status,and determines the research methods and framework of this paper.Secondly,the connotation of developmental social policy theory is introduced,which is used as the theoretical basis and research basis of the paper,and the perfect compatibility between developmental social policy theory and child protection policy in difficult situations is analyzed.Thirdly,by sorting out the development history of China’s child protection policy in difficult circumstances,although the strength and level of China’s child protection policy in difficult situations have been greatly improved in recent years,and the survival problem of children in difficult circumstances has been basically solved,the current policy still has the problem of "emphasizing survival over development".Finally,based on the theory of developmental social policy,this paper puts forward specific suggestions for the improvement of China’s child protection policy in difficult situations.Specifically,it includes the following points: improving the top-level design of child protection policies in difficult situations from the perspective of promoting the comprehensive development of children,promoting the improvement of specific policies for the protection of children in difficult situations,building an implementation system for diversified subjects to participate in the protection of children in difficult situations,and improving the evaluation and feedback mechanism for child protection policies in difficult situations.It is hoped that this will promote the continuous improvement and development of the current protection policies for children in difficult circumstances and create a good environment for the development of children in difficult circumstances.
