In recent years,the state has attached great importance to the reform and development of vocational education and introduced a series of policies,announcements and regulations to protect it,while also putting forward new requirements for the reform of vocational education teaching and learning.It is urgent to deepen the teaching reform of vocational education,optimize the teaching structure,innovate teaching modes and methods,so as to improve the quality of teaching and cultivate comprehensive talents.However,in the current classroom teaching of Photoshop Image Processing in secondary schools,teachers mostly adopt the traditional case-based teaching method to make students complete their works in a step-by-step manner,thus neglecting the cultivation of students’ creative and problem-solving abilities,and students’ course experience is not effective.The PBL teaching model requires teachers to create real-life situations that meet students’ cognitive levels,guide students to acquire knowledge on their own through problems,collaborate to complete tasks,and integrate the knowledge of multiple disciplines to solve practical problems,thereby stimulating students’ interest in learning and developing creativity and problemsolving skills.At present,the PBL teaching mode has been applied to many courses and is becoming increasingly mature,and has achieved remarkable results.In this context,this study constructs a PBL teaching mode based on the STEAM concept and applies the teaching mode to the teaching practice of the secondary-level Photoshop Image Processing course.The main research elements of this study are as follows:1.To check relevant research literature at home and abroad,to sort out and summarize the current research status of STEAM education concept and PBL teaching mode at home and abroad;to investigate the teaching status and students’ learning in the middle-level "Photoshop Image Processing" course by questionnaire and interview method,and to analyze the problems existing in the current teaching.2.Based on the combing of the relevant theoretical foundations and the investigation and analysis of the teaching status quo,the teaching process is divided into three stages: before,during and after the class,and the PBL teaching mode based on the STEAM concept is constructed.Based on this,the teaching design of the middle-level Photoshop image processing course was carried out from three aspects: teaching front-end analysis,teaching process design and teaching evaluation design.3.The second-year class I and class II of computer science in a secondary school in Jinan were randomly selected as the experimental class and the control class respectively to carry out an experimental study on the teaching of PBL teaching mode based on STEAM concept in the teaching of Photoshop image processing in secondary school.A questionnaire was used to test the students before and after the study to verify the teaching effects of PBL teaching model based on STEAM concept applied to the teaching of Photoshop image processing in secondary school.The results of the study prove that the application of PBL teaching mode based on STEAM concept in teaching Photoshop Image Processing at secondary level helps to develop students’ problem-solving and innovation skills and brings better learning experience to students.
