With the continuous acceleration of the transformation and upgrading of the tourism industry, the demand for applied and skilled talents in the tourism industry is becoming more urgent.Cultivating innovative, applied, and skilled talents has become an inevitable requirement in the development trend of the times. It is urgent for tourism practitioners to adapt to the new tourism industry and new situation. As the main course of vocational tourism,"Guide Practice" in vocational schools has a single teaching method in the traditional teaching process The problems of poor learning enthusiasm and weak problem awareness among students are not conducive to promoting the improvement of students’ comprehensive strength. The problem driven teaching method breaks away from conventional teaching methods, focuses on student-centered and problem-based approaches, focuses on cultivating students’ comprehensive qualities, enhancing their problem awareness, and enhancing their logical thinking ability, which is in line with talent cultivation goals. Therefore, this article takes "Guide Practice" in vocational schools as an example and applies problem-driven teaching method for course teaching, with the aim of promoting students’ comprehensive development, continuously improving the quality of course teaching, promoting course teaching reform and innovation, and cultivating tourism professionals who meet the needs of the industry. This article mainly focuses on three aspects: theoretical analysis, empirical research, and practical verification. The main content includes the following: firstly,a large amount of literature review is conducted to clarify the relevant theories and concepts of problem driven teaching method.Grasp the current research status and development trend of problem driven teaching methods, and identify the research direction accurately;Secondly, questionnaires will be distributed to students majoring in tour guides at Jinan L School,Qingdao L School, and Zibo L School to comprehensively analyze their basic learning status, problem awareness, and willingness to learn problem-driven teaching methods.By conducting interviews with teachers,we aim to understand their understanding and attitude towards problem driven teaching methods, further clarify the current teaching status and existing problems of "Guide Practice" in vocational schools, and analyze the applicability of problem driven teaching methods;Thirdly, based on the previous research, the principles and strategies for designing problem driven teaching methods are proposed based on constructivist theory, situational learning theory,problem-based teaching theory, and the theory of the zone of proximal development.Based on this, carry out teaching design and practice of "Guide Practice" in vocational schools;Fourthly, after the end of teaching practice, conduct a comprehensive analysis of classroom observation results, questionnaire interview results, and exam scores to comprehensively test the effectiveness of classroom teaching and verify the effectiveness of teaching;Fifth, summarize and prospect this study.Summarize and analyze research results, reflect on shortcomings, and propose prospects for future related research. The research results indicate that implementing the problem driven teaching method in the "Guide Practice" classroom of vocational schools can fully tap into students’ subjective initiative and build a good teacher-student relationship.Stimulate students’ interest in learning, enhance their awareness of self-directed learning and problem-solving,enhance their teamwork skills, and exercise their logical thinking abilities. Thus improving students’ learning efficiency, improving teaching quality, and providing new research directions for curriculum teaching reform.
