Ancient prose is an excellent traditional culture in China,with highly artistic values in terms of language style,structural organization,and ideological connotation.Its teaching plays an important role in cultivating students’ core literacy in middle school Chinese education.However,due to the high difficulty level of reading classical Chinese,the ancient origin of the writings,and the habit of traditional teaching,many teachers tend to focus on the understanding of classical vocabulary and meaning,neglecting the exploration of the article’s structure,ideological connotation,and cultural spirit behind it.As a result,they have failed to effectively cultivate students’ core literacy in the Chinese class.In recent years,there has been an increasing amount of lesson study on exemplary Chinese language teachers and their teaching practices.These teachers have extensive teaching experience,advanced teaching concepts,and personalized teaching styles,making them role models for other front-line teachers to learn from.Based on this,this paper selects Wang Xizhi’s "Preface to the Orchid Pavilion Collection" as the research object,and from the perspective of Chinese core literacy,conducts a comparative analysis of three outstanding "Preface to the Orchid Pavilion Collection" lessons taught by provincial-level Chinese language teachers.Drawing on relevant educational theories,the paper summarizes and extracts the commonalities and individualities of the teaching practices of the three teachers,aiming to provide valuable insights for teaching ancient Chinese prose at the high school level.The introduction section mainly discusses the reasons and significance of the selected topic of comparison study of teaching cases of "Preface to the Orchid Pavilion Collection" from the perspective of Chinese core literacy,and conducts the literature review on the research status of Chinese core literacy and "Preface to the Orchid Pavilion Collection".The concept of Chinese core literacy and lesson study comparative research is defined,and the main research methods and ideas of the paper are introduced.The first chapter introduces the background of the lesson "Preface to the Orchid Pavilion Collection" taught by three excellent Chinese language teachers,Li Yin,Liu Qing and Zhang Peipei,including a brief description of the text content and value of "Preface to the Orchid Pavilion Collection",the basic profile of the three teachers,and the research value of the lesson case of "Preface to the Orchid Pavilion Collection".The teaching objectives and process of the teaching case are also presented.The second chapter focuses on the comparative study of the three teachers’ lesson plans of "Preface to the Orchid Pavilion Collection" from the perspective of Chinese core literacy in three aspects: teaching objectives,teaching process and teaching methods.The study aims to explore the commonalities and emphasis of the three teachers’ teaching objectives in cultivating Chinese core literacy,and to conduct a comparative analysis of the teaching led-in activities and text reading from two perspectives.In terms of teaching methods,the study adopts a comparative approach to analyze the teaching methods adopted by the three teachers in cultivating students’ Chinese core literacy,both from commonalities and individualities.The third chapter conducts a multi-level comparative study on the three teachers’ lesson case of "Preface to the Orchid Pavilion Collection" from the perspective of Chinese core literacy.The study aims to provide reference and inspiration for front-line Chinese language teachers in terms of teaching objective design,text reading,and teaching methods in teaching ancient Chinese prose in high school.
