| with the rapid development of information technology,information literacy,as one of the important qualities constituting the personality of citizens in modern society,has attracted great attention from countries all over the world.As a new era of elementary school students should have this literacy to adapt to the update and development of the times.At present,the overall level of information literacy of primary school students in China is not high,and most schools do not pay attention to information technology courses or adopt traditional teaching models,so that the cultivation of information literacy is not developed and it is difficult to achieve good results.In this paper,we build a teaching model based on UMU platform,which organically combines the cultivation of information literacy and non-IT courses to enhance students’ information literacy.This study uses experimental research method,survey research method,and literature research method to conduct the research.Firstly,by referring to relevant materials,the connotation of information literacy,the development and research status of information literacy education at home and abroad,and the research related to the integration of UMU platform into elementary school language teaching were sorted out,and the concepts related to information literacy and UMU platform were defined.Secondly,a self-administered information literacy questionnaire was used to analyze the current situation of elementary school students’ information literacy level,and a teaching model based on UMU platform was constructed by combining Dewey’s "learning by doing" theory,constructivist learning theory,and instructional design theory.After that,we designed the teaching model and verified its feasibility in teaching practice.The study selected the third grade students of an urban experimental elementary school as the subjects for the teaching experiment.The experiment was conducted between the control and experimental classes,and the effectiveness of the UMU platform was verified through tests,questionnaires,and data analysis.Finally,we reflect on the shortcomings of the research process,summarize the research experience,and present the outlook.The study found that the use of UMU platform in teaching practice can effectively improve students’ information literacy level,specifically in terms of their information awareness,information knowledge reserve,information application,and moral and legal aspects.The following conclusions are drawn from the study: I.The information literacy of primary school students is cultivated in a single way,and the information literacy level of students is not high;Ⅱ.The teaching mode based on UMU platform can improve the information literacy level of students.III.The enhancement of information literacy improves classroom efficiency.IV.The improvement of information literacy enhances students’ comprehensive ability. |
