| Mathematics is an abstract and logical course. For lower grade students, their thinking is concrete and intuitive, and they are in the stage of concrete operation.Learning must be promoted by a large number of visual elements such as "images, colors and sounds".As a new teaching medium, mathematics picture books integrate continuous novel plots into mathematics courses of lower grades in order to adapt to the knowledge development and learning characteristics of lower grades in schools, and help to mobilize students’ interest in learning.Under the current background of "reducing burden and increasing efficiency",math picture books can be used as materials for teachers to innovate teaching cases and assign unwritten assignments, which on the one hand promotes integrated teaching reform and on the other hand enables students to continuously develop mathematical thinking in reading. In this context, this paper selects two picture books,My beautiful Ruler and Two Rays Holding Hands,as typical picture book cases, and integrates them into two units,Length Unit and A Preliminary Understanding of Corners, with a total of 6 class hours,as typical lesson examples for analysis,so as to carry out practical research on the integration of mathematics picture books into mathematics teaching of lower grades in primary schools. The preliminary work of the experiment is to conduct text analysis of knowledge points of picture books and new version textbooks, explore the link between them, and then conduct pre-test for the subjects, eliminate the interference of preliminary skills, and then carry out teaching experiments to observe and record the situation of students in teaching. At the later stage of the experiment, the measurement tool of Figure and Geometry Knowledge Measurement Volume--Grade Two was used to test students’ relevant mathematical ability, and the students and teachers were interviewed.Based on the data analysis of different classes before and after the implementation of teaching experiments, the following conclusions are drawn: First, the integration of mathematics picture books into classroom teaching has a positive impact on the second grade students’ learning of the relevant dimensions of graphics and geometry, and the score of each dimension of the experimental class is higher than that of the control class after the experiment;Secondly, the teaching of mathematics picture books into the graphics and geometry lessons has a significant effect on the classification, grouping and spatial ability of students, but has no significant effect on the evaluation and conversion ability.Thirdly, math picture books can stimulate students’ interest and thirst for knowledge by integrating them into math classes of lower grades, giving them an unknown plot and easily stimulating their curiosity, especially promoting the curiosity, concentration, initiative and mathematical expression of students in lower grades. Finally, according to the conclusion of teaching experiment, the following suggestions are put forward for the implementation of integrated teaching of picture books: First,we should combine the whole unit knowledge and make good use of integrated teaching design of mathematical picture books;Secondly,we should attach importance to the teaching of visual graphics and geometry, and establish the teaching resource base of graphics and geometry in the first learning section.Thirdly,we should carry out group reading appropriately, introduce rich personalized assignments in picture books, and change our learning attitude. |
