Physics is a natural science based on experiments.Experimental teaching is an integral part of the process of physics education.Through experimental teaching,students can deepen their understanding of knowledge points,exercise their experimental observation ability,experimental operation ability,data processing ability and so on.However,at present,in high school physics teaching,because physics experiments are still in the form of written assessment,teachers will inevitably pay insufficient attention to the experimental operation itself,ignoring the cultivation of students ’ experimental operation skills.In order to comprehensively deepen the reform of curriculum education and implement the fundamental task of cultivating people with morality,the Ministry of Education promulgated the ’ General High School Physics Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition)’(hereinafter referred to as the ’ New Curriculum Standards ’)in January 2018.Compared with the ’ General High School Physics Curriculum Standards(2003 Edition)’,the ’ New Curriculum Standards ’ puts forward 21 requirements for students to do experiments,including 12 compulsory courses and 9 selective compulsory courses.At present,high schools across the country formulate first-line teaching arrangements based on the guidance of the ’ new curriculum standard ’.The social and economic development in Guangdong Province is unbalanced,the distribution of regional educational resources is unbalanced,and the physical experiment conditions in different regions are different.In order to improve people ’s attention to experimental teaching,the author investigates the teaching status of ’ students must do experiments ’ in high school physics in some cities of Guangdong Province through student questionnaires,teacher interviews,field surveys,etc.,and draws the following conclusions :(1)Students ’ experimental operation ability is not up to expectations.Whether it is students in the Pearl River Delta region or students in the non-Pearl River Delta region,whether it is a municipal key high school,a district key high school or an ordinary high school,most students ’ physical experiment operation ability fails to meet the classroom requirements and the requirements of teachers.Students ’ basic experimental operation skills are not solid,and their inquiry ability is weak.It is manifested in the unfamiliarity with the structure of the experimental instrument and the basic reading principle,and the irregular use or installation of the experimental instrument.(2)Unbalanced distribution of educational resources among regions in Guangdong Province.The educational resources in the Pearl River Delta region are better than those in Shaoguan,Meizhou and other non-Pearl River Delta regions.The construction of school laboratories in the Pearl River Delta region is good,and ’ students must do experiments ’ can be put in place in accordance with the requirements of curriculum standards.The laboratory instruments of schools in non-Pearl River Delta region are not perfect,and the types and quantities of some instruments do not meet the needs of experiments.Based on the current level of students ’ physical experiment operation ability and the previous research on physical experiment operation,the author has preliminarily compiled a set of physical experiment operation examination questions.In addition,through the analysis of the survey results,the author puts forward the following suggestions :(1)Strengthen investment in experimental facilities for schools with weak educational resources.Do a good job in laboratory infrastructure construction,shorten the gap between regions,schools and schools,and improve the overall experimental teaching level of Guangdong Province.(2)Increase the openness of the laboratory.The school should formulate a good laboratory open management system,open the laboratory in a planned way,so that students have the opportunity to enter the laboratory in their spare time to be familiar with and use various instruments,and do a good job in the training of experimenters to assist students to better complete the experiment.(3)Pay attention to the teaching of " students must do experiments ".’Students must do experiments ’covers most of the content of high school physics theory learning.Schools and teachers should make students do experiments as much as possible to improve students ’ core literacy of physics.(4)Establish a scientific experimental assessment system.At present,the evaluation method of high school physics experiment teaching is only written examination,lacking a variety of evaluation mechanisms.This is also an important factor that students ’ experimental ability cannot be well cultivated.In view of the current level of students ’ physical experiment operation,the author believes that the experimental assessment method should be improved and the assessment of physical experiment operation should be emphasized.
